Dieser Heizspiegel gewährleistet das ordnungsgemäße Stumpfschweißen von Kunststoffprofilen ohne deren Längsnut abzudecken, so daß Profile verschweißt werden können, die bereits vor dem Schweißvorgang mit einer Glasscheibe od. dgl. bestückt wurden. Der parallel zur Scheibenebene zwischen die Profilenden eingeführte Heizspiegel schiebt sich im Schweißbereich mit seiner Ausklinkung über den Scheibenrand, wodurch der die Scheibe umgreifende Heizspiegel das gegenseitige Verschieben der Profile und damit den Anschmelzvorgang trotz der eingelegten Scheibe unbehindert läßt.
