Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for producing a corrugated paperboard web having a flat top layer and a corrugated layer connected flatly to the latter and parallel to the web running direction, which web is composed of individual sections, having a splicing station for connecting the rear end of the corrugated paperboard web to the front end of a section, having at least one pair of press rolls arranged transversely with respect to the advance direction of the corrugated paperboard web. Provision is made here to provide a deflection and cutting station 30, 32 having a deflection element (deflection roll 52) that is arranged horizontally and at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the original advance direction, above the advance plane, around which the corrugated paperboard web 2' is deflected, so that the latter runs onward in a horizontal plane at right angles to the original advance direction, to provide further deflection elements 54 in the region of the cutting station 32, which deflect the corrugated paperboard web 2' into a vertical plane arranged parallel to the original advance direction, for the cutting means of the cutting station 32 to be used to sever the section 70 from the web 21, and to provide transport means 66, 67 that advance the sections 70 in a horizontal plane transversely with respect to the original advance direction, the transport means 66, 67 feeding the section 70 to a conveying device 74 that operates parallel to the original advance direction, the sections 70 being arranged on the conveying device 74 with corrugations running parallel to their conveying direction. <IMAGE>
