Abstract
When a running ring is fastened to the shell of a rotary tube, the lining plates located between the running ring and the shell of the rotary tube must be secured by retaining elements against displacement both in the longitudinal direction of the rotary tube and in the radial direction, since otherwise not only are the lining plates rapidly destroyed but damage is also caused to the shell of the rotary tube. According to the invention, the retaining elements 5, 6 for the lining plates 3 are fastened to the supporting elements 4 which are arranged offset from one another on both sides of the running ring 1, the retaining elements 5, 6 - as viewed in the circumferential direction of the rotary tube 2 - projecting on both sides of the supporting elements 4 and supporting the lining plates 3 from above. In this way, not only are the lining plates 3 reliably locked both in the longitudinal direction of the rotary tube and in the radial direction and the service life of the lining plates 3 is thereby increased, but the exchange of the lining plates is also considerably facilitated as a result. <IMAGE>

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the lining plates are rectangular when viewed from above and are provided on one end face with a recess which engages in the support element located on the opposite side of the race. In this way, the lining plate can be held in its position without any special locking elements on the rotary tube jacket, particularly when viewed in the circumferential direction.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of a schematic exemplary embodiment: FIG. 1 shows a partial longitudinal section through a race ring section of a rotary kiln with casing plate and race, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the rotary kiln jacket according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a plan view of a Lining sheet according to the invention.
As FIGS. 1 and 2 show, between the race ring 1 and the casing of a rotary kiln - 2 - several lining plates - 3-loosely distributed on the casing circumference - are arranged in a loose arrangement. On both sides of the race-l-are support elements - 4--, which are welded to the rotary kiln jacket --2--. These support elements --4-- are, as shown in Fig. 2, alternately offset on one side and on the other side of the race. The support elements --4-- primarily serve to securely hold the race - in its position.
Otherwise, the support element --4-- consists of two parts, u. between a guide bar --4 '- resting on the race and a bar holding this bar on the rotary tube
EMI2.1
to have to make on the rotary tube jacket.
On the support elements --4-- are also holding elements - 5 and 6-- for the casing sheets - arranged in such a way that - seen in the circumferential direction of the rotary kiln - they protrude on both sides over the support elements --4-- the casing sheets --3-- Support from above. The holding elements --5-- are rectangular in cross-section, while the holding elements --6-- consist of simple angle irons. Through the holding elements --5 and
6-- the lining plates --3-- are held in their position both in the longitudinal direction of the rotary kiln and in the axial direction.
As shown in Fig. 3, the lining plate --3-- is each rectangular and provided with a recess --7-- on one end face. This lining plate --3-- is inserted from the side in the direction of the arrow --8-- between the support elements --4-- on the one hand and the race ring-l and the rotary kiln jacket --2-- on the other, u . Between until the inner end face of the recess --7-- is tight against the inner contour of the support element --4--.
In this way, a tooth-like engagement of the support element --4-- in the recess --7-of the lining plate --3-- is achieved, and thereby the lining plate is held in its position.
The holding elements --5 and 6-- are then welded to the support elements --4--, thereby holding the casing in place both in the longitudinal direction of the rotary kiln and in the radial direction. The lining plates --3-- are also very advantageous - seen in the circumferential direction of the rotary kiln --2-- - at a distance --9-- from each other. This not only very advantageously achieves better cooling of the race, but also makes it easier to control the wear of the race.
Another advantage of the device according to the invention with the lining plates between the race and the jacket of the rotary kiln is that the recess --7-- in the lining plates --3-- results in a tooth-like engagement of the support elements --4--, which ensures a particularly secure hold of the chuck plates --3-- against shifting in the drum circumferential direction in a very simple manner. If the lining plates are worn out, they can easily be replaced from one side of the race. To replace the worn lining plates --3-- with new lining plates, all that is required is to remove and reinstall the holding elements --5 and 6--.
Since these holding elements --5 and 6-- are not attached to the casing of the rotary kiln but only to the support elements, all welding and joining work on the rotary kiln is not necessary for repair or assembly work in the area of the race arrangement.
