<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a device for actuating the hydraulic piston drive
Additional device, in particular for agricultural tractors, with a directional control valve that controls the inflow and outflow of the hydraulic medium to and from the piston drive, to which an additional valve connected to the pressure line and opening against the spring force by the pressure of the hydraulic medium is assigned Line is connected, which leads to the side of the valve body of the additional valve opposite the pressure line connection and is connected to the pressure line via the directional control valve when the hydraulic piston drive is pressurized.
Such a device is already known (AT-PS No. 236157). In the position of the directional valve blocking the line to the hydraulic piston drive, the entire amount of hydraulic pressure medium must flow out via the additional valve, which increases the flow resistance in this valve and forces an increase in its dimensions.
The task is therefore to improve the device described at the outset in such a way that a smaller additional valve is sufficient.
The invention achieves the stated object in that the directional valve is provided with an additional drain line which is connected to the pressure line in the position of the directional valve blocking the line to the hydraulic piston drive.
In the neutral position of the directional control valve, the pressure medium can therefore flow off in two partial flows, namely on the one hand via the additional valve, and on the other hand via the directional valve, so that the flow resistance in the additional valve is reduced or the latter can be made smaller.
In addition, it is possible to use a slide designed for mechanical actuation as the directional control valve, but to control it electromagnetically.
The drawing shows an embodiment of a device for actuating the hydraulic piston drive of an agricultural tractor auxiliary device in the diagram.

directional valve --3-- is controlled. An additional valve --4-- is assigned to this directional valve --3--. The pressure line --5-- coming from the pump --5-- leads with one branch --5a- to the directional control valve --3-- and with another branch --5b-- to the additional valve --4--, which has a valve body --7-- loaded by a spring --6--. The directional control valve --3-- and the additional valve --4-- are connected by a line --8-- which leads to the side of the valve body --7-- of the additional valve --4 opposite the pressure line connection --5b-- -- leads.
In the neutral position of the directional control valve --3-- shown, the supply or. Drain line - -9-- to piston drive --1-- blocked and the pressure medium flows out of line --5-- with a partial flow through branch line --5b-- and via additional valve --4--, whereby the Valve body --7-- is held against the force of the spring --6-- in the upper stop position, since the connecting line --8-- is connected to the drain. If switch --10-- is turned counterclockwise to position H and the directional control valve is moved to the right, the hydraulic pressure medium from line --5-- acts on line - -5a-- and line --9 - the piston drive --1-- and the lifting process starts.
At the same time, pressure medium passes through the connecting line --8-- to the side of the valve body --7-- of the additional valve --4-- opposite the pressure line connection --5b--, so that the pressure on this side of the valve body --7- - predominates under the spring action and the valve body --7-- blocks the connection of the line --5b-- to the drain, so that the full amount of hydraulic fluid from the line --5-- for the piston drive --1-- is available.
If switch --10-- is turned clockwise to position S, lines --8 and 9-- are connected to the drain, i.e. H. the piston drive-l-performs the lowering movement and the pressure on the spring --6-- opposite side of the valve body --7-- of the additional valve --4-- prevails again, which results in an upward movement of the valve body --7- - until the pressure medium flow from the line is released --5b--.
As can be seen, the valve body --7-- of the additional valve --4-- is provided with a damping piston --11-- through which a throttle bore --12-- leads. In the stroke position of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Directional control valve --3-- for the piston drive --1-- must therefore first displace the portion of the hydraulic medium for the throttle bore --12-- located under the damping piston --11-- so that the valve body --7 - only gradually moved to the closed position for the branch - 5b -.
The directional control valve --3-- is provided with an additional drain line --13--, which is connected to the branch line --5a-- in the neutral position of the directional control valve --3-- shown. The pressure medium pumped by the pump --2-- can therefore be supplied with a further partial flow via the branch line --5a-- and the directional control valve - in addition to the branch line --5b-- and the additional valve --4--. 3-- drain, so that the additional valve requires smaller dimensions. Even in position S of switch --10-- there is a partial discharge of the pressure medium via lines --5a and 13--.
