Beispiel 2.

Process for the preparation of secondary oisazo stains.
Secondary disazo dyes with peculiar properties are obtained if a diazotized 1,8-aminonaphthol sulfonic acid is used first as the diazo compound and 2-amino-5-naphthol-7-sulfonic acid or one of its derivatives is used last. In this way one arrives at well drawn products which, depending on the nature of the components and especially the middle components, dye cotton in burgundy to purple and blue shades and are characterized by great clarity and a very unusual lightfastness.
Example 1.
341 parts of the monosodium salt of 1,8-aminonaphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid are dissolved neutrally with soda and diazotized with 69 parts of sodium nitrite and the necessary amount of hydrochloric acid. The diazo compound obtained in this way is then stirred into a solution of 179.5 parts of hydrochloric a-naphthylamine in water and the hydrochloric acid is truncated with sodium acetate. After the coupling has ended, the amino monoazo dye formed is acidified, salted out with hydrochloric acid, filtered off and converted into its neutral sodium salt by treatment with soda.
This is then further diazotized with 69 parts of sodium nitrite and the necessary amount of hydrochloric acid at approx. 50 and the diazo compound is salted out and filtered to remove any diazonaphthalene that may still be present. The one with cold

is after a short time b (ends. The reaction mixture is warmed up and the dye is salted out, al) filtered and dried. It dyes cotton in clear, lightfast, blue tones.
Example 2.
A solution of H9 parts of sodium nitrite and then an excess of hydrochloric acid is added to an aqueous solution of 341 parts of the sodium salt of 1,8-aminonaphthol-4,7-disulfonic acid. When the uiazotization is complete, the diazo compound is allowed to flow into an aqueous solution of 174 parts of hydrochloric acid cresidin and the required amount of acetic acid sodium is added with vigorous stirring. It is then acidified with hydrochloric acid. in order to bring any excess Krcsidin into solution and salt the intermediate product. The latter is further diazotized in the usual way and the diazo compound is added to a solution of 295 parts of 2-diethylamino-5-naphthol-7-sulfonic acid in excess soda.
The dye, isolated in the customary manner, stains cotton in clear greenish blue tones.
If the 1,8-aminonaphthol sulfonic acids used in the above examples are replaced by another 1,8-aminonaphthol sulfonic acid, very similar dyes are obtained.
Likewise, by replacing the a-naphthylamine or cresidine in the middle position with other components or by replacing the derivatives of 2-amino-5-naphthol-7-sulfonic acid used in the examples by other derivatives of this acid or by the
