The invention relates to an electromagnetic relay of high sensitivity with an armature movably or overhung on an armature holder, which is opposite two poles of soft iron pieces of the magnetic circuit.
In order to ensure that the armature is in good contact with the poles of the magnetic circuit, it has already become known to accommodate the armature in an armature holder in a movable or flying manner by arranging the armature in a cage provided for this purpose on the armature holder, in which the armature can move freely lay. However, this has the disadvantage that, due to the play required to bring about the flying arrangement, the anchor comes to lie in various relative positions with respect to the poles and thus strikes them at angles that one
Worsening of the air gap can result in the edges of the poles being rounded off and grooves being formed at the points of contact of the armature. The consequence of this is a minor one
Lifetime of the relay, since only a small number of switching operations can be achieved, within which the
Relay works properly.
In addition, such a relay is extremely sensitive to position, since the armature position depends on the position of the relay due to gravity.
The aim of the invention is now to avoid the disadvantages of the known relays of the above type.
According to the invention, the armature is connected to the armature holder via a flexible connection, in particular a cushion, by means of which the armature is held in its correct position on the one hand, but on the other hand its adjustment with respect to the pole pieces is made possible.
The flexible connection, in particular the cushion, reduces the free mobility of the anchor to such an extent that a tight fit to the poles is guaranteed, one
Damage to the armature and the poles is largely avoided. In addition, the function of the relay is position-independent, and the position of the armature in its holder can be easily adjusted. The relay is also insensitive to impacts.
Advantageously. the anchor is housed in a cage and is held between a central lower support point and a central upper cushion, which enables the anchor to rotate in the cage.
The lower support point is expediently located on a bar which is firmly connected to the cage, the upper support point being located on a holding plate fastened to the cage.
This measure results in a particularly simple but reliable construction.
According to a development of the invention, the cushion is formed from a soft plastic material, has a mushroom shape and is arranged in a hole in the holding plate. The mushroom-shaped upholstery can be inserted into the holding plate in the simplest way and not only ensures that the anchor is in a perfect rest position, but also that it is placed in a dampened manner on the poles.
The cage advantageously has lateral columns with the aid of which the anchor is centered. This ensures that the anchor is properly installed in the cage.
The cushion expediently consists of plastic, for example of synthetic rubber.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings, in which two exemplary embodiments are shown. 1 shows a plan view of a relay according to the invention with the housing open, FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the armature and its cage of a relay according to FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows in section a detail of the armature with a second exemplary embodiment of its mounting.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the relay comprises a permanent magnet --1--, which is clamped between two U-shaped soft iron pieces --2--, of which two legs --4-- form magnetic poles, which cooperate with a movable anchor --6--, while the other legs -17- provide an articulated attachment for the anchor holder. The two pieces of soft iron --2-- are connected to each other via a magnetic shunt - which is mounted on a screw --8--. On one of the legs - a trigger coil --10-- is attached, the magnetic flux of which, when fed with a current, is opposite to the magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet-l-in the movable armature.
The movable anchor-6-is housed in a cage --13-, which is attached to one end of the anchor holder --14--, while the other end-15-forms a release tongue. A spring --21- acting in the direction of the tensioning of the movable armature --6- is attached to the top of the housing -40- and presses on the middle part of the armature holder --14--.
