Description of the subject matter of the invention: Behind SMP is a group of inventions, with one thing in common and the basic solution. The functioning of the inventions is described in the following points. The order of the inventions listed does not mean prioritization, but was chosen at random.
Basically, SMP covers all payment methods, which are characterized in that payments of any kind, regardless of the seller's sales medium (6), can be made or payment confirmations made available with the help of mobile communication media (1) and electronic transmission media (4).
A) SMP - Challenge Mode When paying using SMP - Challenge Mode, the seller sends an SMP payment request to an SMP provider (2).
The payment request includes an identification number of the sales medium (6) and the amount to be paid.
This information is transmitted using electronic transmission media, such as. B. ISDN, GSM, or Internet with VPN function (4), which enable the unique identification of the sales medium (z. B. CLIP function).
A possibly additionally required microprocessor unit controls the communication between the sales medium (6), a possibly additionally required independent terminal with printer (option) (7) and the SMP provider (3).
The local connection at the point of sale can take place, for example, via a bus system (8).
The units sales medium (6), independent terminal with printer (option) (7) and bus system (8) can, but do not have to be physically separated from each other. That is, these components can, for example, also be integrated in a single device.
After the SMP provider (2) has received the payment request, an identifier is sent back to the seller based on the transmitted data. For security reasons, the amount to be paid can also be returned and thus confirmed.
In the sales medium (6) or an independent terminal with printer (option) (7) of the seller, the buyer is shown the identifier and possibly the amount to be paid.
The buyer enters the number of the SMP provider (2), the displayed ID, his personal payment code (PIN) and possibly the amount on his mobile communication medium (1).
After entering the number, the call is placed on the mobile communication medium (1) by the customer.
The SMP provider (2) receives the call and checks the identity of the mobile communication medium (1) (e.g. using the CLIP function). After further checking the identifier and the personal payment code, the SMP provider (2) confirms by means of electronic transmission media, such as. B. ISDN, GSM or Internet with VPN function
