<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

--21-- fürstutzen --10-- und von dort bei geöffnetem Flaschenventil --33-- in die zu füllende Flüssiggasflasche --32--. Von dem Anschlussstück --22-- für das Druckmedium durchquert ein Zuflusskanal --18-- das Gleitstück --8-- und mündet an der gegenüberliegenden Seite in einen Zuströmka-
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a filling fitting for filling liquid gas into liquid gas bottles with a valve attached, with a connecting piece provided with a non-return valve, which can be pressed against and against one another by means of a displacement device, which consists of pistons and cylinders and is pressed against the connecting part of the valve Abutment of the filling valve that can be attached to the valve of the liquid gas bottle can be clamped against the action of a return spring while simultaneously opening the check valve.
A known filling valve of this type has a housing, one of which is approximately U-shaped
The bracket protrudes, the crosspiece of the U-shaped bracket being able to be placed on the side of the valve facing away from the valve connecting part. Part of the interior of the housing serves as a cylinder of the one-sided displacement device which is acted upon by pressure medium, on the spring-loaded piston rod of which
Connection piece is formed. The actuation of the sliding device presses the connecting piece against the valve connecting part, whereby a non-return valve provided in the connecting part opens and liquid gas can enter the bottle when the bottle valve is open.
The liquid gas flows through the piston rod designed as a tube, which passes through the entire housing and at the other end of which protrudes from the housing, a hose connector for the liquid gas supply line is arranged. To protect the piston rod protruding from the housing by the stroke length and the hose connection, a piece of pipe is attached to the housing at this point, which also serves as a handle. The pressure medium flows laterally at the end of the housing into the cylinder space, a control slide being provided to release it.
The piece of pipe arranged at the end of the housing now protects the piston rod and the direct hose connection from damage and prevents any parts, for example items of clothing, but also dirt, from becoming jammed or penetrating into the passage opening of the housing during the forward movement of the piston , however, has the major disadvantage that the liquid gas hose rubs against the pipe end with every movement of the displacement device. Since a large number of bottles are filled at the filling station every day, the constant friction of the hose leads to damage, which of course means that there is a risk of liquid gas escaping. Ongoing checks and frequent replacement of the liquid gas hose are therefore essential.
Furthermore, the length of the filling fitting, which is increased by the protective tube, complicates its handling, so that the operating personnel is more tired, especially since the handle is given by the protective tube arranged at the end. The suspension device provided on the housing only provides insignificant relief for this, since it is efficient only during filling, that is, when the filling fitting is not moved.
The invention has now set itself the task of creating a filling valve of this type, which on the one hand has a shorter design and thus enables easier handling, and on the other hand prevents damage to the liquid gas hose by the movement of the displacement device. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the free end of the piston rod is fastened to a connecting piece of the filling fitting which supports the abutment, and that both the connecting piece which can be pressed onto the connecting part of the bottle valve of the liquid gas bottle and the connecting piece of the liquid gas hose are connected to the cylinder of the displacement device.
The proposal according to the invention does not represent a mere reversal of the known filling valve in that the parts belonging to the cylinder and the piston are interchanged, but also represents the solution to the difficulties mentioned above. Compared to the connecting piece connected to the abutment, that with the free one End of the piston rod is connected, and after attaching to the valve can be described as stationary, not only the connecting piece and the connecting piece of the liquid gas hose move, but also the entire housing including the cylinder, including the handle, which must be within reach of the control spool.
The connection piece, the housing with the cylinder, the control block and the connection piece thus form an overall movable unit, which makes it possible to provide the connection piece for the liquid gas hose laterally, so that the movement of the liquid gas hose is not impeded and its damage is excluded.
In the working position of the filling fitting, the connection piece can in particular point downwards, and
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
so that the liquid gas hose leads downwards. This limits the overall length of the
Filling valve to the absolutely necessary length, which also makes handling easier, as well as the preferred arrangement of the handle above the central area of the valve.
In this preferred embodiment, with a connection piece for the pressure medium hose opening laterally into the cylinder, the invention further provides that the connection piece for the liquid gas hose and the connection piece for the pressure medium hose are arranged side by side on a block arranged between the cylinder and the connection piece, the Block is designed as a slider and slides on guide rods that connect the connecting piece of the filling valve connected to the free end of the piston rod with the abutment.
A particularly favorable compact arrangement results in a further embodiment of the filling valve with a control block of the displacement device having a control slide from the fact that the control block is arranged on the side of the sliding piece opposite the connecting pieces, the sliding piece being penetrated by a channel which the connecting piece for connects the pressure medium hose to an inflow channel in the control block.
The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the drawings, without being limited thereto. 1 shows a view of a filling fitting according to the invention in the working position, FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through the filling fitting, FIG. 3 shows a section along the line III-III in FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 shows a section along the line IV-IV 3.
The filling fitting according to the invention --1-- has an abutment --2- in the working position on the cylinder valve - with the interposition of an elastic insert --3-- which is connected via two guide rods --9-- with a connecting piece arranged opposite - -5-- connected and is stationary in this position. As can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, a piston rod --4-- is also attached to the center of the connecting piece --5--, which projects into a cylinder --6--.
A return spring --14-- acts on the piston --19-- located at the other end of the piston rod --4--. The abutment end of the cylinder is formed by a block, which is designed as a sliding piece --8-- and is slidably arranged on the guide rods --9--. For this purpose, two lateral extensions of the sliding piece --8-- each have a hole through which the guide rods --9-- protrude. Advantageously, the cylinder --6-- consists of a tube piece that engages on both sides in an annular groove of the slide piece --8-- and a cover --37-- penetrated by the piston rod, the slide piece --8-- and the Cover are clamped together by screws.
On the abutment side, the sliding piece --8-- is provided with a stepped tapering recess --16--, into which the connecting piece --10-- is screwed. On the front of the connection piece --10-- there is a pressing part --12--, which is pressed against a connection part of the cylinder valve --33-- when the slide piece --8-- moves forward forms a valve disc on the side protruding into the recess --16--. The valve disc --11-- is pressed against a valve seat --20-- by a return spring --13--, which is supported on the bottom of the recess --16--, which is connected to the connector --10-- is trained.
The valve plate --11--, the return spring --13-- and the valve seat --20-- together form a check valve that opens when the connection piece --10-- is pressed onto the connection part of the cylinder valve --33-- .
The piston --4-- and the cylinder --6-- form a preferably pneumatically actuated shifting device. To actuate them (Fig. 3, 4), a control block --31-- is placed on the slider --8--, in which a control spool --23-- is mounted in a bore --27--.
On the side of the slide block --31-- opposite the control block --8-- are next to each other

--21-- for nozzle --10-- and from there with the bottle valve open --33-- into the liquid gas bottle to be filled --32--. From the connection piece --22-- for the pressure medium, an inflow channel --18-- crosses the slide piece --8-- and opens into an inflow channel on the opposite side.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
nal --29- of the control block --31--, which ends again in the hole --27-- for the control spool.
Parallel to the channel --29--, a return flow channel --36-- branches off from the hole --27--, which merges into a channel --24-- of the slide piece --8--. The channel --24-- continues axially parallel as channel --25--, and opens into the cylinder space --7-- between the pistons - and the end face of the slider --8--. A ventilation duct --30-- branches off from the bore --23-- of the control block and opens out to the side.
The control block --31-- therefore forms a two-way valve, via which the pressure medium in the position of the control spool --23-- shown in Fig. 3 - into the cylinder space --7-- and after moving the
Control spool --23- to the right, when the inflow channel from the cylinder chamber --7-is blocked under the action of the return spring --14-- into the ventilation line --30--.
A hole --28-- is also provided on the control block --31--, in which a suspension bracket --34-- and a handle --35-- are fastened, which is thus arranged in the central area of the filling valve is.
