Morsezelchen-Ableseplatte.

Morsezel reading plate.
The Morse code reading plate is used to read tolegraph characters which have been given in Morse code.
It consists of a plate of any material in which a system; by gutters and round depressions. The latter are based on a coordinate system distributed on the plate and provided with letters, numbers and characters.
The channels form the connection between the common starting points of the coordinate system and the round recesses.
The reading plate is used as follows to read given signals:
A pen is inserted with the tip into the indentation in the upper left corner - the starting point. From here it is dragged from depression to depression by dragging in the gutters. This movement takes place from left to right with a "line", from top to bottom with a "point".
With that immersion in we'sler u; e pen tip is at the end of the signal, the meaning of the signal is written down.
Anyone - including those who are completely ignorant of Morse code - can read signals. He does not need to look at the plate, he can devote his full attention to observing the signals, following the latter only by touching the plate and, when the signal is over, read its meaning with a cursory glance.
