den vorderen Teil des Wickeldornes bei der Einführung des Kartonblattes ; Fig. 5 ist eine ähn- li ho Durstelluug bei Beginn der Wickelbewegung ; Fig. 6 ist eine ähnliche Darstellung mit einem ll1ndstückschieber kurz vor Schluss der Wickelbewegung ; Fig. 7 ist ein Querschnitt durch die Wickeleinrichtung während der ersten Phase der Spiralbildung, Fig 8 ein ähnlicher Querschnitt kurz vor Beendigung der Spiralbildung ; Fig. 9 ist eine schematische Darstellung einer anderen Ausführungsform der Erfindung im Querschnitt bei Beginn der Spiralbildung ;

PATENT-ANSPRUCHE :

the front part of the winding mandrel at the introduction of the cardboard sheet; Fig. 5 is a similar position at the start of the winding movement; 6 is a similar illustration with an end piece slide just before the end of the winding movement; 7 is a cross-section through the winding device during the first phase of spiral formation; FIG. 8 is a similar cross-section shortly before the end of spiral formation; Fig. 9 is a schematic illustration of another embodiment of the invention in cross section at the start of spiral formation;
Fig. 10 is a view similar to Fig. 9 in the central part of the spiral formation, and Fig. 11 is a view similar to Figs. 9 and 10, shortly before the completion of the spiral formation.
In the embodiment of the invention shown in FIGS. 1-8, the winding device consists of the inner winding mandrel 1, which is fork-shaped at the front slightly conical end through a slot 2 in a known manner. Concentric to the inner mandrel 2 is a tube 4, which is also used as a winding mandrel and provided with a slot 3.
With the known fork-shaped winding mandrels, one is forced to give them a relatively large diameter so that the slot of the mandrel can grasp the fed cardboard sheet at the edge. However, it has already been proposed to insert the cardboard sheet from the end into the slot of the fork by sliding the dome longitudinally. But then it is still necessary. to ensure correct gripping of the cardboard sheet, the

After the rotation of the mandrel 4 has started. the rest of the cardboard sheet is thus wound onto the outer surface of the tube 4, as can be seen in FIG. The result is a spiral part y located on the outside of the tube 4. whose diameter is considerably larger. than that of the spiral part x wound on the inner mandrel.
The cardboard sheet 6 is expediently fed in a known manner through a fixed paper guide 7 d''r winding device. Just before the moment when the last end of the

H. moves over the concentric winding mandrels 1 and 4 with the parts of the paper spiral that are flying on them. This mouthpiece slide is, as is known. laterally provided with a slot 9 such that when the mouthpiece slide 8 is displaced, the last part of the cardboard sheet which has not yet been completely wound up lies within the Sf-hlitzea 9.
At the moment when the rear edge of the cardboard sheet 6 lies on the tubular Dora 4. then the mouthpiece slide 8 has also reached its rear position,

they clamped the latter in the winding tube 11. For this purpose, this tube can possibly have a slightly conical shape inside. In addition, the same considerations apply here with regard to the formation of the spiral, as stated above.
