The invention relates to a cooling or heating device on standing, cylindrical, preferably more than 10 m high containers, such as. B. reaction tank in which a cooling or heating liquid is guided on the walls of the tank and on the outside of the tank several height-arranged heat exchangers are provided with their own inlet and outlet.
Cooling containers with double walls are known, in which several cooling zones are provided one behind the other, which are connected to a circulation. Other known constructions show welded cooling channels on the outside. Here, the entire water pressure is applied to the container from the outside, so that the container wall must be made stronger than it corresponds to the container internal pressure due to the risk of denting. In the case of intermittent cooling operation, the problem is exacerbated when the internal pressure of the container is also subject to fluctuations, in particular as a result of different filling levels. In addition, the latter construction requires a great deal of effort
Welding work.
The object of the invention is to reduce the external pressure in the case of cooled containers, to enable the cooling surfaces to be emptied without problems and to increase the cooling effect.
The invention is characterized in that the heat exchanger as a jacket on the outside of the
Containers are arranged, which are fed on their underside and have an overflow on their top, so that the maximum liquid pressure in each jacket is given only by the liquid level in this. Further features essential to the invention are specified in the subclaims.
The invention is shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, for example and schematically. 1 shows a container with cooling or heating devices in an oblique view, FIG. 2 shows a section through a cooling jacket according to section line II, and FIG. 3 shows a construction variant of FIG. 1.
EMI1.1
is initiated for cooling or heating the contents of the container. Of course, more than four coats can also be arranged one above the other. The liquid is drawn in via the pump --16-- and fed to the individual jackets via the pressure line --7--. Branch lines --8, 8 ', 8 ", 8"' - are provided for this purpose, in which pressure-reducing stations or adjustable throttle orifices - -9, 9 ', 9 "- are installed.
The top branch line does not need to have a pressure reducing device, since the water pressure in the line is already largely reduced due to the altitude.
In order to avoid pressure fluctuations in the jackets, the pressure line --7-- is introduced into a vertical drain line --10-- with a larger diameter, so that when overpressure occurs, pressure relief occurs and the maximum pressure that occurs is caused by the height of the liquid column - is limited. Each cooling jacket-2-- has an overflow --5-- on its top --4--, so that the maximum liquid pressure in the jacket due to the height of the liquid level difference --6-- between the feed through the branch line --8 - and the overflow --5-- plus the pressure loss in the jacket.
FIG. 2 shows a section along section line II in FIG. 1. Baffles --14-- are provided within the jacket --2, 2'-, which are designed as a spiral and ensure the maintenance of a flow, so that the chambers of the jacket arranged one above the other are flowed through in succession. To avoid air or vapor bubbles, the baffles are inclined upwards in the direction of flow of the liquid, so that any bubbles that arise can move upwards in the direction of flow and do not hinder the heat transfer. If the jacket is used as a cooling jacket, it is expedient to provide cooling ribs on the outside of the jacket, in particular in the upper region of the jacket. As a result, the cooling liquid is cooled and the heat transfer from the container contents to the liquid is evened out.
In addition, the formation of steam in the drain is reduced. The drain --10-- is formed by a vertical, open-ended tube with a larger diameter, so that practically no liquid pressure builds up, which shows --5-- effects on the jacket via the overflow .
In Fig. 3, a construction variant of Fig. 1 is shown, in which the throttle orifices --9-- for the individual cooling jackets --2, 2 ', 2 ", 2"' - are arranged at approximately the same height, so that they can be regulated from a common stand. As a result, the pressure line --7 - is significantly shorter, whereas the branch lines --8-- are longer. The overflows --5--, as shown in Fig. 1, lead to an unpressurized drain --10--.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
To increase the cooling or heating capacity, as shown in broken lines in FIG. 1, an additional, cylindrical installation through which liquid flows is provided, which is preferably provided coaxially to the axis of the container in the container. This installation --11-- is fed by the branch line - and connected by line --13-- to the i drain --10-- at the highest point of the installation --11--. Since the diameter of the cylindrical installation --11-- is smaller than that of the tank wall --1--, the height of the installation --11-- can be higher than that of the individual cooling jacket-2- with the same permissible load.
A major advantage of the invention is seen in the fact that the cooling device also as
Heating device can be used, with which, in addition to the exothermic processes, endothermic processes can also be carried out in the container shown without air bubbles in the jacket interfering with the heat transfer. The cooling device according to the invention can thus be easily filled with water and operated and also completely emptied. In addition, the container wall thickness can be dimensioned regardless of any excess pressure in the cooling or heating jacket, so that a significant
Weight saving results.
The installation --11-- can be in any shape, but it has
Training as a cooling screen with a ring-shaped inlet collector on the underside and a ring-shaped outlet collector at the highest point of the cooling screen has proven to be expedient. The
The switching of the individual heating surfaces can be varied, for example, if the installation --11-- is first flowed through by the cooling or heating medium to avoid evaporation, which then flows through the cooling jackets - 2-flow, with partial flows flowing through the individual cooling jackets .
