Ball drum mill for grinding cocoa beans.
The known devices for grinding cocoa beans have the disadvantage that the grinding balls loosely inserted into the drum could not be separated from the finished chocolate powder at the end of the grinding process and more or less blocked the outlet opening, so that the drum can be emptied quickly and conveniently
EMI1.1
In order to make this possible, a removable grid or the like is used according to the invention, which is placed over the outlet opening, lifts the balls from the drum wall and thus allows the finished product to fall out unhindered.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, u. Between FIG. 1 shows the vertical section and FIG. 2 shows the front view of the drum.
The known drum A is attached to a shaft B which runs in bearings C.
The loosely inserted shot, metal or granite balls G beat when the drum is turned! on projections J on the inner wall of the drum and grind the cocoa beans together with any additives to a homogeneous mixture.

of the nozzle is placed. The drum is then turned back down so that the balls are lifted from the drum wall and come to rest on the upper surface of the grid and remain there, while the chocolate powder falls through the grid and can be removed through the nozzle.
So that the chocolate dispenser cannot fall out through the opening H in the front wall of the drum while it is moving, a removable Ahlenkeinrichtung E is provided at the opening 11, which extends into the interior of the drum and catches the falling beans or powder particles when the drum rotates and in the

The drum can be heated or heated to the required temperature by means of gas flames or steam coils placed under the drum.
This device enables the milling and mixing process to be carried out effectively
