The invention relates to a bistable relay according to the preamble of the claim and describes a new, magnetically actuated, closed contact with a flat housing and its application in various electromagnetic relays or switching devices.
The purpose of the invention is to enlarge the scope of the above-mentioned contact. The object of the invention is therefore to create a bistable relay with two closed contacts, in which the arrangement of a special permanent magnet in the outer magnetic circuit can be dispensed with.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the magnetic circuit has sheet metal stamped parts consisting of semi-hard permanent magnet material and, if appropriate, flux guide pieces between the two closed contacts and has only the sheet metal stamped parts as a permanent magnet.
The sheet metal stampings are expediently welded to the inner parts of the base plates of the opposite contacts.
The invention has the advantage that a closed contact provided with permanently magnetically semi-hard stamped sheet metal parts is not significantly more expensive to produce than contact with soft magnetic stamped sheet metal parts, but that a bistable relay built up with such contacts becomes much cheaper due to the omission of the permanent magnet in the outer magnetic circuit .
The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment with reference to drawings, in which: FIG. 1 shows an electromagnetic relay with two contacts facing one another with their base plates, seen from the side and cut open; Fig. 2, the relay of FIG. 1, viewed from the side rotated by 90, partially cut open.
1 and 2, a bistable electromagnetic relay with two closed contacts --1, 2 - is shown, which can be used for example as a coupling relay in telephone systems. The flat housing of contacts 2 - consist of a flat base plate and a hood-shaped cover --3--. The edge of the cover --3-- is firmly connected to the base plate. The base plate of the contacts --1, 2-- consists of an annular outer part --4-- and a disc-shaped inner part - -5--, which are joined together by means of a glass ring --6--.
A soft magnetic armature --7-- designed as a flat component is attached to the cover - -3-- by means of an electrically conductive armature retaining spring --8-- in such a way that it covers both a section of the inner part --5-- and a section of the Outside part-4-- faces.
The contacts --1, 2-- of the bistable relay shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 are magnetically connected in series by their base plates facing each other and a sheet metal stamped part on the opposing surfaces of the inner parts --5-- 9-- is welded from semi-hard permanent magnet material, which are close to each other perpendicular to the plane of the base plates. The sheet metal stampings --9 - are enclosed together by a magnetization winding --10--. The outer parts --4-- of contacts --1, 2-- are magnetically connected to each other by a flux guide --11--.
If the armatures --7-- of the two contacts and 2 - by energizing the magnetization winding - are tightened, the two stamped sheet metal parts --9-- are magnetized to the extent that after the coil excitation is switched off, the armatures - 7-- hold in their working position. When the magnetization winding --10-- is excited in the opposite direction, the two sheet metal stampings --9-- are demagnetized to such an extent that the armatures --7-- of the contacts --1, 2-- under the action of the armature retaining springs --8 - return to their rest position.
The stamped sheet metal parts --9-- each have an extension that serves as a soldering lug --12-- and leads one of the electrical connections radially to contacts 1 and 2. The other electrical connection of contacts --1 or 2-- is made using a soldering tag attached to the cover --3--.
