Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Erfindungsgemäss seien beispielsweise folgende chemische Individuen genannt :
1. N, NI, N", triisononanoyl-diäthylentriamino-N,N"-diproionsäure
2. N, N"-diisononanoyl-diäthylentriamin-N, N', N"-tripropionsäure
3. N, N" -diisononanoyl-diäthylentriamin-N, N" -dipropionsäure
 EMI1.5

In a further development of the patent 344854 for the use of salts of amidocarboxylic acids or their mixtures of the general formula
 EMI1.1

 EMI1.2
or a hydrogen atom, m a number from 2 to 6 and n from 1 to 3, it has been found that salts of amidocarboxylic acids of the general formula
 EMI1.3
show a very good corrosion protection, an excellent lubricating effect and, despite excellent interfacial activity, a low foaming effect, and are easily biodegradable. In the formula
 EMI1.4
 n from 0 to 2 and z from 1 to 6.

According to the invention, the following chemical individuals may be mentioned, for example:
1. N, NI, N ", triisononanoyl-diethylenetriamino-N, N" -diproionic acid
2. N, N "-diisononanoyl-diethylenetriamine-N, N ', N" -tripropionic acid
3. N, N "-diisononanoyl-diethylenetriamine-N, N" -dipropionic acid
 EMI1.5

The acids according to the invention can be reacted with the appropriate bases, such as alkalis or amines, preferably alkanolamines such as mono-, di- or triethanolamines, optionally in the form of their condensation complexes with boric acids, in an equivalent ratio or in excess and used alone or in a mixture with known metalworking agents in aqueous solution or emulsion can be applied.

It has surprisingly been found that mixtures of the chemical compounds listed show better effects in terms of corrosion protection than the pure components.

The corrosion protection effect was tested in water of 20od H according to DIN 51360 (filter paper test), with the following rating being used as a basis:
