Drehherz.

Lathe heart.
The present rotary heart differs from the known designs in that the end plate containing the clamping screw for the pressing jaws is fastened in its plane so as to be rotatable in its plane on one leg and releasably on the other leg of the frame. After loosening the fastening device, the end plate can be turned sideways from the opening of the frame. which enables the pressing jaws to be exchanged quickly and easily.
The press jaws for the lathe heart are made of fiber and are therefore also used in the Einspanl. s sharp-edged or threaded workpieces are not attacked and on the other hand do not damage these objects.
In the drawing, the rotary heart according to the present invention is shown in FIG. 1 in a view and in FIG. 2 in a plan view.
The rotating heart consists of a U-shaped frame a whose main shape has a U-shaped frame, on whose vertical legs guides b are provided for the displaceable pressing jaws c. Screw bolts d and f are connected to the legs of the frame a at their upper end, of which one d serves as a pivot and the second bolt / serves to fix the end plate in its closed position. The plate g has the nut thread of the clamping
EMI1.1
and engages around the screw bolt / in such a way that it lies within the hook opening i in the locked position of the plate f /.
To replace the pressing jaws c, it is only necessary to slightly lift the nuts j of the screw bolt and to turn the end plate y sideways in its plane around the bolt d in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 2), whereupon the pressing jaws c off the frame a can be taken.
After the new pressing jaws have been inserted into the frame a, the end plate g is rotated back into the initial position, the nuts j are tightened and the frame a is thus closed. The workpiece to be clamped in the rotary heart is inserted between the pressing jaws and these are pressed against the workpiece by means of the clamping screw h in order to hold it in place.
The pressing jaws are made of fiber and are therefore not attacked when clamping objects with sharp edges or with sharp threads, their clamping surfaces remain smooth and clean and the clamped objects are not damaged. The upper press jaw advantageously carries a cover plate made of metal, against which the clamping screw h acts.
These pressing jaws can of course be used not only for turning hearts, but also for all other devices for holding workpieces.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. rotary heart, characterized. that the end plate of the U-shaped frame for the exchangeable pressing jaws, which contains the clamping screw for the pressing jaws. is rotatable in its plane on one leg and releasably attached to the other leg of the frame. for the purpose of enabling the press jaws to be changed quickly.
