On the front sides of the drum are along the inclined edges 15 and 16 of the raised side parts 4 also wing rollers 10 and scrapers 11, u. between the former at the entry points, the latter at the exit points.

When the safety device is used, the cover part 3 carrying the drum rests on the container 1 and is firmly connected to the latter by the hooks. During transport, the container 1 can be placed over the drum and in this case serves as a protective cover.

Instead of a cylindrical one, a spherical or ellipsoidal illuminated body can also be used. If it proves to be useful, the canvas can be moistened during the fishing season.

The mode of operation of the described catching device is as follows: The insects (moths) sitting on the canvas are fed by the rotating drum to the vane rollers 10, which enable the insects to be conveyed into the container.

The wing rollers not only prevent the moths from escaping, but also serve at the same time to initially strip off some of the moths from the drum and to throw them into the container 1. The folders still on the canvas are then detached from the drum by the scrapers 11 so that they fall into the container.

Small amounts of ether or similar stones are advantageously introduced into the container, which stun or kill the insects.

So that individual folders cannot escape when the cover part is subsequently lifted off, a closure of a known type (not shown in the drawing), for example made of canvas, is provided on the container, which is inserted into the gap between the cover part and the container after the connecting hooks have been released. so that it closes the container opening.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
 EMI2.1
characterized by an openwork, covered with canvas or other translucent stuff, illuminated from the inside, cylindrical or otherwise shaped body, which is set in rotation by hand or by mechanical or electrical means, whereby the insects that accumulate on the surface of this body constantly into the interior of the container partially enclosing the light body and detached from the envelope of the former.
