Die Metalleinlage wird aber beim Rohdruck in diesem Falle nicht von der Unterlagsfläche festgehalten, sondern nur von der sogenannten Brocke, welche sich beim Drucken in die Zange zwischen dem Rande a des Oberkappels (Fig. 7) und dem Bodenkappel bildet. Diese Brocke ist in Fig. 8 mit b bezeichnet.
Die Trennung des Glases vom Metall kann hier auf mechanischem Wege durch Abschleifen der vorerwähnten Brocke erfolgen, da sich das Metall beim Drucken nicht mit dem Glas verschmolzen hat, sondern noch so lose anhaftet, dass es beim Schwinden der stützenden Brocke abfällt bzw. leicht weggezogen werden kann.
In Fig. 9 ist der Stein nach dem Abschleifen der Brocke und in Fig. 10 der fertige Stein nach Wegnahme des Metallteiles ersichtlich gemacht.
Der auf vorbeschriebene Arten erzielte Rohdruck kann durch weiteres Schleifen, Atzen, Malen usw., in üblicher Weise zum Handelsgebrauche vollendet werden.
Die Herstellung konischer, unterschnittener Löcher in Glaskörpern durch Einpressen einer konischen Metallkapsel, die nach dem Erkalten des Gegenstandes mittels einer geeigneten Flüssigkeit herausgeätzt wird, ist bekannt.
