To determine the occupational suitability or the ability to perform certain activities in a satisfactory manner, psychological diagnostics (psychotechnology) uses various methods with the help of which the
Appropriateness of the reactions to certain sensory stimuli or more complex information is checked.
For the presentation of the optical and acoustic information, for example for the lighting up of colored lights and the sounding of various bell tones, but also for the setting of more complex tasks, such as for the Herwig number search field and the like. Ä., Each corresponding device, with which the
Can determine the speed and correctness of the required reaction.
However, these previously used devices can only be converted to a different test program to a very limited extent. In many cases, they do not log the results clearly and completely, which affects the evaluation. Errors are often not recorded in the exact timing. In addition, a separate device must be kept ready for each type of task.
The subject matter of the invention now relates to an arrangement for testing individual reactions or

Sequence of the program (analog representation) and factual assignment with regard to its content (digital representation) are supplied.
This enables a complex examination program to run using a single apparatus and to exchange this program as required. The respondent's reactions are also reflected in their
The time sequence is clearly, easily archived and quickly evaluated, and this also applies to incorrect answers or reactions that are identified as such.
This graphically as well as numerically given overview of the overall temporal sequence of correct and incorrect reactions (answers) to stimuli or stimulus constellations (examination tasks) opens up new types of diagnostic work methods for practice.
The examination program is recorded on a sound film in the manner of an animated film or consists of a certain sequence of individual images and corresponding acoustic information, which is achieved alone or in conjunction with a cinematographic presentation using program-controlled (slide) projectors and a loudspeaker system the service life of the respective individual image can be varied within wide limits by adapting the devices for tachistoscopic projection.
In addition to the behavior and work instructions and the acoustic stimulus templates, all control signals are recorded on the magnetic or optical sound track of the film or the control device, which are required for (reaction) time logging (possibly also for regulating the film speed) and for checking the results. If only one sound track is available, the various code pulses of an amplitude-independent code are applied to a carrier frequency that does not cut too much the (speech) frequency band. In the case of two sound tracks, for example a normal and a compensating track, code pulses can be dispensed with, since the signals to be distinguished are then separated by assigning different frequency ranges.
However, light characters copied into certain individual images can also be used as control signals after their photoelectric conversion.
The responses (reactions) keyed in by the test person, which he gives to the given tasks, are checked with the help of the synchronous control signals and an electronic program, both on their time interval from the beginning of the task, i.e. on the length of the reaction time, as well as on their correctness , d. H. checked for their agreement with an expected and given answer.
The result is recorded in writing by means of a remote-controlled electric typewriter (output or log printer) (e.g. set characters "r" or "f"), whereby time intervals (reaction times) can be displayed not only numerically but also graphically. The length of the time then corresponds to the distance between two characters placed on the record sheet, which is achieved by the step-by-step movement of the writing surface controlled by the film or magnetic tape - roughly corresponding to the advance of a typewriter carriage when the space bar is pressed. This logging of all unsuccessful attempts at a solution in their chronological order provides additional information.
In the case of group tests, a corresponding number of logging units are coupled to the projection and control equipment, which significantly reduces the time otherwise required.
