The invention relates to a lighter with a substantially parallelepiped shape, which is a one-piece
Has housing for receiving the fuel container, burner, ignition device and pressure piece, the pressure piece pivotable about an axis and extending over the entire height of the lighter being arranged on one of the two narrow side walls of the housing and in an open on the narrow side of the housing
Recess of the housing is inserted and provided with a hairpin-shaped return spring that the
Swivel axis surrounds and is supported with its ends on the housing and the pressure piece, the
Ignition device is a knurled wheel, whose axis coincides with the pivot axis of the burner covering
Lid is identical, which lid is pivotably mounted by means of two legs that grip the ignition wheel laterally,
each of the legs having a slot into which a pin provided on the pressure piece engages.
The aim of the invention is to create a lighter of the type mentioned, which consists of only a few
Individual parts consists and the housing and individual parts are simple and cheap, especially made of plastic, can be produced, the assembly of the lighter, in particular the insertion of the pressure piece, the remaining individual parts, namely the ignition wheel and cover in the housing, being automated.
This is achieved according to the invention in that two opposing vertical grooves are provided in the side cheeks formed by the recess for the pressure piece, which is also open at the top, into which grooves the pivot axis penetrating the pressure piece at its lower end can be inserted from above with the pressure piece, and the end of the spring, which is supported on the housing, engages in a horizontal transverse groove so that the end faces of the legs of the cover facing away from the burner are designed as cams, which cams move in the housing when the cover is pivoted by means of the pressure piece on a two-armed lever Press an edge between the burner and the ignition device that can be pivoted,
which extends with a fork-shaped end under the legs of the lid and whose other end is firmly connected, as is known, to the gas outlet valve of the burner.
Due to the design of the lighter according to the invention, only a few easily automatable handles are necessary for the assembly. After inserting the fuel container and the pressure piece into the housing, it is only necessary to insert the leaflet to operate the burner valve, the ignition wheel and the cover and to fix the leaflet with the nut and the ignition wheel and the cover by inserting the axle. After putting on a cover having the outline of the lighter, the lighter has nothing but a smooth surface that is not disturbed by any visible axes or the like. For the purpose of cleaning, however, the lighter can be easily dismantled into its individual parts at any time.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings representing an embodiment. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a lighter according to the invention in the closed rest position, FIG. 2 shows a side view of the lighter with the pressure piece removed, FIG. 3 shows a top view of the lighter with the cover omitted and the lid having the ignition device, the pressure piece is cut along the line III-III in Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 is a plan view of the lighter according to the invention.

The vertical groove --15-- arranged in the recess --9b-- is guided with a shallow depth, which groove --15-- merges into a transverse groove --16-- having a greater depth.
The end-13a-of the spring-13-engages in this transverse groove -16-, whereby the pressure piece -5- is secured in a simple manner against being pulled out upwards.
In the area of the projections --14-- serving as stops, further grooves --17-- proceed from the vertical grooves -12--, which are arranged approximately horizontally and enable the pressure piece --5-- to be pressed inward.
EMI2.2
can be opened against the action of the return spring when an axial pull is exerted on this shaft.
The burner - 2 - is actuated via a leaf - 7 - fastened to the shaft of the gas outlet valve, which is designed as a two-armed lever and the pivot axis of which is formed by the housing edge - 8 -, which leaf-7 - is controlled by the leg --6a-- of the lid.
For this purpose, the free end of the leaflet --7-- is fork-shaped, with the prongs --7a-- of the leaflet - 7 - between the cheeks --9f-- and the mouth of the flint tube --9d - having housing part - 9a - arranged grooves - 9g - protrude into which the legs --6a - of the cover --6-- protrude.
EMI2.3
When opening the cover --6-- press the prongs --7a-- down, which pulls the shaft of the overall outlet valve upwards. When the cover --6-- is opened, the ignition device is activated at the same time, which sets the wheel --3-- in rotation via a split spring leaf - 25 -.
The lid --6-- is opened using the pressure piece --5--. To this end, everyone knows

Lid - 6 - a slot - 6b - on, pressure piece --5-- is arranged. The bracket is let into a recess and is penetrated by a pin --23-- formed on the pressure piece --5--, through the one hole provided in the bar of the bracket --19--, by the fact that the protruding part of the pin is hot deformed.
The lighter has a cover - 20 - having the same outline, which surrounds the lid - 6 all around, and has a stop --21-- for the lid --6-- in its closed position.
In the case of a housing made of plastic --9--, the cover --20-- is provided with a metallic lining --24-- in the area surrounding the flame, which protects the plastic from the flame and, at the same time, the end face of the stop -21-forms for the lid -6-.
Since the cover --20-- also surrounds the cheeks-9f-, the axis-10-becomes in the cheeks
