Es ist bekannt, die Harn-und Geschlechtsorgane beider Geschlechter durch Wärme zu behandeln. Doch war diese Art der Behandlung bisher mehr eine äussere und für die Körperhöhle selbst nur wenig angewandte, da die dazu nötigen Apparate sehr unvollkommen waren und folglich eine genaue und dauernde Dosierung der Wärme hiebei fehlte. Erst der elektrische Strom a. ls Wärmequelle setzt uns in den Stand, eine gleichmässige und leicht regelbare Wärme zu erzeugen, was für die Behandlung der Kranken von ausserordentlicher Wichtigkeit ist. Zu diesem Zwecke müssen Instrumente geschaffen werden, die in der Form ihrer Oberfläche der zu be- handelnden Körperhöhle möglichst genau entsprechen und in Verbindung mit der Stromquelle durch Dazwischenschalten eines Widerstandes die gewünschte Wärme abgeben.
Die Form der Instrumente ist hiebei ausserordentlich wichtig, um nicht Beschwerden zu erzeugen, und es ist dadurch die Herstellung solcher Instrumente in hohem Masse erschwert.
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Elektrothermoapparat, der obigen Bedingungen vollständig entspricht und von dem in der Zeichnung mehrere Ausführungsbeispiele dargestellt sind.

Fig. 5 zeigt einen Rektalapparat zur Behandlung von in sitzender Stellung befindlichen Patientinnen.

Im übrigen ist die Konstruktion wie in Fig. 2.
In den Fig. 6 und 7, ist der nämliche Apparat wie in Fig. 5, jedoch mit Verkürzung des gebogenen Teiles a dargestellt. Er dient als Prostataapparat bei Behandlung in sitzender Stellung.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Elektrische Vorrichtung zur Behandlung der Harn-und Geschlechtsorgane mittels Wärme, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Heizspirale mit ihrem einen Ende in die metallene Hülse der Vorrichtung endet, so dass eine einfache Isolation der Hin-und Rückleitung ermöglicht ist.

For this purpose, instruments have to be created whose surface shape corresponds as closely as possible to the body cavity to be treated and, in connection with the power source, emit the desired heat by inserting a resistor.
The shape of the instruments is extremely important in order not to cause discomfort, and this makes the manufacture of such instruments very difficult.
The present invention relates to an electrothermal apparatus which completely meets the above conditions and of which several embodiments are shown in the drawing.
