The invention relates to a shearing machine, consisting of a frame with a fixed knife and a movable knife above it, with a support device located in the direction of movement of the cutting knife and hydraulically operated by means of pistons and cylinders.
Shearing or cutting machines with a movable work table are only recently in the field of
Machine tools became known. The main goal of these machines is torsion-free shearing.
One embodiment of such shearing machines comprises a fixed knife and a further movable knife which can be moved over the entire first knife, so that along the main cutting edge a
A shearing or cutting effect occurs; a continuously adjustable work table is in his
Rest position next to the main cutting edge of the first knife in the working path of the movable knife. A
Support device prevents the work table from being moved out of its rest position during the
Cutting process. In this embodiment, coil springs or resilient ones are used as the support device
Washers made of suitable steel are used.
The disadvantage of this machine is that with constant use, especially in connection with a high weight load, it tends to twist the material to be cut increasingly.
In a special form of the above-mentioned shearing machine, one end of the work table is connected to the movable cutting edge. This can also lead to disruptions in the cutting process.
Also known is a shearing machine, in which the movable knife along the stationary
Knife cuts, with individual pistons serving as an abutment. Between these individual pistons lie with
Carriers provided with rollers that are used to remove the cut sheet metal parts. The pistons are arranged in two groups and can be operated in series in pairs.
The disadvantage of this shearing machine is that twisting can occur in the sheet metal due to the distance between the pistons and, moreover, the series connection of the pistons is very complex and therefore prone to failure. It is therefore also very difficult to maintain an equally constant pressure in each cylinder during the downward movement of the cutting knife.
The aim of the invention is to create a shearing machine with a movable support, which prevents twisting of the material to be cut during constant use and which is as little prone to failure as possible. This is achieved in that the support device, which is in the rest position at the level of the fixed knife, is designed as a support for the sheet metal extending over the entire length of the fixed knife, which during the shearing process with the direction of movement of the cutting knife and against the pressure is movable in the cylinder.
It is clear that the uniform and coordinated movement of the knife and support, which is only made possible by the inventive arrangement of support and support device, does not result in any twisting of the material to be cut.
It is advantageous that the piston rods of the hydraulic support device are attached to the underside of the support and that a piston and a cylinder are located near or at the two outermost ends of the support.
The support device not only prevents the support from shifting during the work process, but also acts in the opposite direction to the direction of movement of the movable knife during the shearing process.
Piston rods and cylinders are preferably attached to the support or to the machine frame in such a way that a tilting movement can take place.
If the piston and cylinder are attached to the two extreme ends or near them, the rod of each piston can be attached to the support and the cylinders can be attached to the machine frame.
According to the invention, there is a uniform pressure in the cylinder; this is created by a valve that simultaneously fulfills the function of a reducing valve and a drain valve.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawings.
1 is a schematic front view of a shearing machine with a support for the sheet metal, the support being supported by pistons and cylinders, and FIG. 2 a partial section along the line AA of FIG. 1.
The shearing machine consists of an upper movable knife - l - and a lower one

is appropriate. The length of the spring - 4 - is bent in such a way that its middle part bends against the movable knife - l - in the rest position. An arrangement of holding brackets - 5 - is provided in order to press the spring down onto the support surface - 4 - when the shearing machine is in the rest position.

Hydraulic fluid is supplied to each cylinder-7- under pressure through a valve (not shown), so that when the machine is operated, the support is shifted against the pressure in the cylinder.
The valve used has an overflow and allows the functions of a reducing valve and a discharge valve to coexist in a single valve. Consequently, hydraulic fluid becomes hydraulic fluid
System of the machine under constant pressure in the cylinder-7-conveyed.
The type of assembly between the support-3-, the piston rod-6, the cylinder -7- and the machine frame allows a corresponding tilting movement, so that the support can also be moved in other directions than just along the movement lines of the pistons can.
If the knife moves downwards and reaches over the knife-2- in order to carry out a cutting or shearing action along its main cutting edges, the support --3-- is moved from the cutting-1-out of its rest position, which is next to the cutting- -2 - is moved. This shifting takes place against the supporting movement generated by the piston, the hydraulic fluid being displaced from the cylinders - 7 - under constant pressure.
In the exemplary embodiment of the invention cited above, the supporting force remains the same during the entire downward movement of the pistons. Under certain circumstances, however, it may be more favorable if the downward movement of the pistons takes place against an increasing supporting force, which is achieved by attaching a number of inlet-relief valves, which are put into operation one after the other.
After the cutting or shearing process has ended, the knife is raised again by the constant pressure in the cylinders. If the cylinders --7 - are connected to the hydraulic system of the shearing machine, the support is automatically raised after the shearing process has ended.
There are many embodiments of this invention which differ from one another only in details and in no way depart from the scope of the invention. Under certain circumstances it can be more advantageous if additional hydraulic cylinders are attached over the length of the support. Certain circumstances may require a particularly short run and in this case it is possible that a single cylinder will suffice.
It has been shown that shearing machines, the movable support of which is supported in the manner provided by the invention, do not have the tendency that the torsion-free shearing decreases after prolonged use of the machine.
