   Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren nebst Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von Linsen mit doppelt   gekrümmter   Oberfläche, welche unter dem Namen torische Linsen bekannt sind. Die   abzuschleifenden   und zu polierenden Linsen werden nach ihrer Vorbereitung symmetrisch an einer geeigneten rotierenden Scheibe, Drehkopf oder anderem Supporte, welche in ihrer Achsenrichtung verstellbar sind, derart aufgekittet, dass eine von den erwünschten Kurven durch diese
