Description

EMI1.1

EMI1.1
If plants or their waste is freed from their incrustations, i. H. the incrustations with a suitable solvent, e.g. B. be dissolved with caustic soda, calcium bisulfite or sodium bisulfite and then the cellulose exposed in this way is also dissolved, the latter can be converted into glucose (dextrose and dextrin) just as easily using acids or ferments as starch.
The present invention relates to a method by which the last-mentioned operation, namely the conversion into grape sugar, can be carried out in the simplest way and so completely that the processed plants or their waste result in excellent mashing.
The method forming the subject of the invention consists in that the mash, which has been digested in a known manner with the usual solvents under high pressure and then by treatment with active oxygen, is exposed to the action of Soja Fermont.
In the practical implementation of the method, the plants or their waste are first boiled in a known manner in pressure vessels using one of the common solvents. The solution obtained after boiling, regardless of whether it is acidic or alkaline, depending on the solvent used, is exposed to the known action of active oxygen (hydrogen peroxide, ozonized oxygen) at a temperature of 80-900 C, in order to remove the encrustations - to oxidize ss-cellulose held and also to invert this.
For the purposes of the invention, nu:; the substance treated in this way is saccharified with soy ferment, which results in an excellent mash for fodder and brewery.
