  Verfahren zur Herstellung orangefarbener Farblack. 



   Es hat sich gezeigt, dass der Azofarbstoff, welcher aus der Diazoverbindung der   m0ChloranilinsuIfosäure   (dargestellt durch Backen des sauren Sulfats des m-Chloranilins) durch Kuppeln mit-Naphtol erhalten wird, in hervorragender Weise zur Darstellung von Farblacken geeignet ist, deren Nuance orange ist. Diese Lacke werden erhalten, indem das Natriumsalz des Farbstoffes mit den Salzen des Bariums, Kalzium, Aluminiums usw. umgesetzt wird ; die so dargestellten Lacke besitzen eine ausserordentlich klare, louchtende Nuance und zeichnen sich durch vollständige Unlöslichkeit in Wasser und Öl, sowie durch hohe Lichtechtheit aus.

   Die erzielten Farblacke sind erheblich klarer als die bisher darstellbaren und eignen sich besonders für die Industrie des Steindrucks, welche seither auf das alte Chromgelb angewiesen war ; ein weiterer gewerblicher Fortschritt dieses Verfahrens liegt darin, dass man mit Mischungen der bisher bekannt gewordenen organischen Farbstoffe einen ebenbürtigen Lack wie mit dem vorliegenden einheitlichen Farbstoff nicht erhalten konnte, vielmehr solche Mischungen für die Erzielung besonders klarer orangefarbener Lacke ungeeignet waren. 



   Beispiel : 100 kg einer 200/oigen Paste des Farbstoffes   m-Chloranilinsulfosäure-     azo-ss-naphtol   werden mit   1900 l   Wasser fein verrührt, auf   900   erhitzt und eine Lösung von 15 kg Chlorkalzium hinzugefügt. Nach einigen Minuten setzt man unter gutem Rühren   900 kg   einer 30/oigen Paste von frisch   gefällter   Tonerde hinzu und kocht kurze Zeit auf, worauf die Mischung abgepresst, getrocknet und sehr fein gemahlen wird. Das so. erhaltene Produkt besitzt eine leuchtend gelbrote Farbe.

These lacquers are obtained by reacting the sodium salt of the dye with the salts of barium, calcium, aluminum, etc.; the paints thus represented have an extraordinarily clear, luminous shade and are characterized by their complete insolubility in water and oil, as well as by high lightfastness.

   The colored varnishes obtained are considerably clearer than those that could be represented up to now and are particularly suitable for the lithographic printing industry, which has since relied on the old chrome yellow; Another commercial advance of this process is that with mixtures of the previously known organic dyes it was not possible to obtain a paint that was on par with the present uniform dye, rather such mixtures were unsuitable for achieving particularly clear orange-colored paints.



   Example: 100 kg of a 200% paste of the dye m-chloroanilinesulfonic acid azo-ss-naphtol are finely mixed with 1900 l of water, heated to 900 and a solution of 15 kg of calcium chloride is added.
