Process for the elimination of the Elmulsion formed during the cleaning of fatty substances, resins and hydrocarbons with alkalis or alkaline earths.
When cleaning fats and fatty oils with alkalis or alkaline earths, there is a great danger that at the temperature at which the treatment has to be carried out, especially if the treatment lasts for a long time, the substances used have a damaging effect on the fats themselves that they become unusable for many purposes, for example for food purposes.
In order to reverse these harmful side effects of the reagents, protective agents have been used, for example coal or fuller's earth, and furthermore, in Germany by the D. R. l *. No. 143946 the inventor is protected by a process by which the duration of the action of the alkalis or alkaline earths is extremely shortened and thus the damaging effects of the reagents are avoided by using the soap emulsion, mixed with a protective agent of fulling earth or coal, at a low steam pressure of about · to 1 · Atm. exposed.
Even if this method also gives very good results, the rise in temperature above the boiling point resulting from the use of steam is still an evil, which up to now had to be accepted as unavoidable and which

The fat to be freed from the emulsion is heated up to 85 ° C in a closed vessel, for example, after the air present in this has been replaced by nitrogen,
