a faulty direct current (for example leakage current), the voltage drop of which, however, is smaller than the dashed Zener voltage of the diode - 7 -. The evaluation capacitor - 5 - is therefore not charged. From the point in time --t3-- the loop direct current flows through the Zener diode, which is now permeable in the reverse direction
EMI2.1
Charges evaluation capacitor --5-- not significantly changed. In Fig. 3, for example, switching on is shown instead of a loop relay. In the example, the evaluation takes place by means of a light-emitting diode whose radiation can be optically derived.
The advantage of the specified invention is, on the one hand, the independence from component tolerances and thus the elimination of time-consuming setting work and, furthermore, the independence from external supply voltages, which enables both office and subscriber-side connection. On the other hand, the total power consumption is smaller than in the case of electromagnetic loop relays of known embodiments.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1.Circuit arrangement for the office or subscriber-side monitoring of the loop status in telephone equipment, the subscriber loop on the one hand being constantly fed by an office battery and optionally charged with alternating ringing current, an ohmic series resistor (1) being arranged in the loop circuit, at both ends of which a control circuit for a is arranged in a DC-fed output circuit transistor (10) which is switched through or blocked depending on the different voltage drop in the series resistor when the loop is open or closed, the transistor being further switching elements for suppressing an influence due to

whereby at the connection point of the two ohmic resistors (3, 4) a diode (6) is polarized in reverse direction with respect to the office battery direct current voltage drop at the ohmic series resistor (1), the Zener diode (7) is connected in parallel and connected to the evaluation capacitor ( 5) the base-emitter path of the transistor (10) is parallel, and that the breakdown voltage of the Zener diode (7) is below the voltage drop at the Zener diode (7) caused by the minimum DC current flowing from the office battery when the loop is closed, but above any Leakage currents and that, on the other hand, the control circuit (2, 3, 4, 5) is dimensioned in such a way that if the evaluation capacitor (5) is charged within a period of at least 50 msec, the evaluation transistor (10) switches through and is otherwise blocked and the zener diode (7)
in conjunction with the parallel diode (6) via the evaluation capacitor forms a circuit that is permeable for both half-waves of the alternating ringing voltage and therefore does not affect the state of charge.
