The invention relates to a mechanically controlled mixing valve for two different liquids
Temperatures and different pressures, especially for the mixing of cold and hot water
Valves for temperature and volume control and a pressure equalization unit that acts on the two liquid flows and is arranged in the housing of the mixing valve and upstream of the valves for temperature and volume control.
In known mixing valves of this type, the pressure equalization unit is either pre-built in its own housing or built directly into the mixing valve housing in connection with the control valves. In the first case, an additional housing with increased installations is required; in the second case, it is not possible to remove the pressure equalization unit alone, without the regulating valves.
The aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to create a mixing valve with a pressure compensation unit which has only one housing from which the pressure compensation unit can be easily removed by itself.
The invention is characterized in that the pressure compensation unit is installed in a separate housing within the mixing valve housing, a free annular space being provided between the two housings, which is divided into chambers by partition walls, the two flowing into the pressure compensation unit and the two exiting it Record liquid flows, and that the housing of the pressure compensation unit can be axially pulled out of the mixer valve housing as a whole.
This design results in the advantages that the pressure compensation unit can easily be removed from the side, with the mixing valves for temperature and quantity remaining unaffected. This makes revisions and the replacement of the pressure equalization unit easier. In addition, the same mixing valve can also be used without a pressure compensation unit by replacing it with a partition with a seal. This partition can, with appropriate supports, be held axially by the housing covers like the pressure compensation unit.
The drawing shows schematically in longitudinal section an example embodiment of the mixing valve according to the invention.
In the longitudinal axis of the mixing valve body - 1 - there is a pressure equalization unit, enclosed in a cylindrical housing - 2 -. It is held axially by the two end caps - 3 and 4 - and can be pulled out on the respective side after unscrewing one of these covers. The seals with the three 0-rings - 5, 6 and 7 - create four mutually sealed chambers around the pressure equalization unit, the chamber -8-- for the incoming liquid - W--, the
