Zur Erreichung gleichmässiger, praktisch nahtloser Bildübergänge, ist eine besonders kurze Schaltzeit erforderlich, die erfindungsgemäss, mit Hilfe von Magnetfeldern, indem je ein permanenter Pol im Bildträger für jede Bildstelle, ein polwechselbarer Magnet, der die Aufgabe hat, mit dem nächstbefindlichen Permanentpol ein Magnetfeld zu bilden, das den Bildträger lagefixiert, sowie für jede Drehrichtung einen weiteren polwechselbaren Magnet, flankierend zum ersten, mit diesem wahlweise zu einem an sich bekannten Schaltfolgeprogramm gepaart, den Bildträger um eine Bildstelle verdrehen, vorgesehen sind.
