  Drehfedernde Kupplung
 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

an almost even surface pressure can be achieved.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the metal blocks, which are firmly bonded to the rubber-elastic material, have cup-shaped depressions on their respective sides facing the adjacent blocks. As I said, such a coupling should also have a certain flexibility. If the two shafts to be coupled are not exactly aligned with one another, shear forces will also occur in the rubber. In order to be able to transmit these shear forces better and to relieve the adhesive connection between metal block and rubber, the cup-shaped depressions are provided, which are of course filled with rubber-elastic material.

The subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the drawings. 1 shows a view of a coupling ring and FIGS. 2 and 3 show part of the ring in a section normal to the axis and in an axial section along line III-111 in FIG. 1 on a larger scale.

In a ring-shaped rubber body - l - 16 metal blocks --3,4 - are inserted, which essentially have the shape of a segment. Of these metal blocks, only every second one is firmly bonded to the rubber by vulcanization. These vulcanized blocks are labeled - 4-, whereas the blocks - 3 - are surrounded by rubber, but the rubber does not adhere to them. The blocks - 4 - have cup-shaped depressions --5 - on their sides facing the neighboring blocks - 3 -.

Each block is provided with a bore - 6 - for receiving a connecting bolt, the blocks - 3 - being connected to one coupling half and the blocks - 4 - to the other.

If, for example, the torque is introduced via the blocks --4-- and is to be turned clockwise, the rubber intermediate layer - 2-- (Fig. 2) is under pressure
 EMI2.1
--2 '- no rubber layer -2' - compressed and the layer --2-- remains free of tensile loads.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Torsion spring coupling with a ring-shaped or disk-shaped body made of rubber or the like and an even number of metal blocks inserted in this, which are alternately connected to the driving and driven coupling halves via axially parallel bolts, characterized in that the rubber-elastic material only adheres or is vulcanized to every second (4) of the approximately segment-shaped metal blocks (3, 4).
