Process to improve gas-rich fuels by expelling the most volatile components under high gas pressure.

In the German patent specification No. 161952 a process is described in which gas-rich fuels are improved by expelling the most volatile constituents by passing hot gases through, u. between the fact that the fuels are treated with the hot gases under high pressure, but without carbonization or coking of the fuels occurring. In this process, the hot gases come into direct contact with the fuels, which is an inconvenience in that not all types of hot gases can be used, especially if they contain components that have an unfavorable effect on the fuels.

In addition, the hot gases must be pressed into the retort by means of a compressor in order to initiate the high pressure in the retort, which is absolutely necessary in this process.

According to the present invention, this drawback is eliminated in that the hot gases are not passed directly into the retort, but rather into tubes that can withstand strong external pressure and are located inside the retort, with the heat required for the process from the hot gases in which emits fuels under high gas pressure. So there can be gases that come into direct contact with. have a harmful effect on the fuels. In addition, the compressor is saved.

The high gas pressure acting on the fuels in the retort can, as in the
 EMI1.1
is tightly closed for a long time, whereby the (Jase developing in it during this time) assume a high tension.
 EMI1.2
did not work under high gas pressure and without this pressure the coal is greasy, inconspicuous and airy.

To achieve a good product, the high gas pressure is absolutely necessary and
