EMI1.1
The subject matter of the invention relates to grinding machines for dry and wet grinding with a squeegee roller, which is arranged in a trough-shaped, crosswise to laize rocking trough. In the case of shredding machines of this type, the
EMI1.2
The roller is larger with a smaller trough filling than with a larger trough filling, which of course significantly affects the performance of the machine. A further shortcoming of these known comminuting machines is that to convey the finished material to be ground from one trough end to the other a water flow is necessary for wet grinding and an air flow for dry grinding, which increases the operating costs quite considerably.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated in that the roller in

of the trough inevitably rotates independently, as a result of which the lateral, downwardly narrowing spaces between the roller and trough, which are used to receive the goods, remain the same size regardless of the filling. In addition, there is equal wear on all sides of the roller and the comminution takes place not by crushing, but also by grinding.
The ground material is conveyed from one trough to the other by the compulsorily driven roller itself, for which purpose it is helical around its circumference

lateral gaps from the roller 1 and trough. 3 are alternately expanded and narrowed. The roll journals rest in slide bearings 8, which are under the action of strong springs in order to return the upwardly deflecting roll more quickly to its original position if the trough is overfilled.
The machine is driven by means of a spur gear 10 and belt pulley 11.
The regrind fed into the trough at A is displaced when the intermediate
