Straw shaker.
The present invention relates to a straw shaking device of any kind, in which a number of sieve-like shaking boxes (shaking troughs or troughs) are arranged next to one another and mounted on cranks in such a way that each of them is moved in the manner of a locomotive coupling rod, the cranks of adjacent shaking boxes being offset by approximately 180 are so that they move in opposite directions.
There are straw shaking devices for threshing machines known in which the shaking of the straw, which is brought into shaking motion, from toothed rails or

so that the material taken over by the shaking device when the straw passes through is jerked or thrown upwards and is shaken in a far more effective manner than is the case with the known devices.
In the context of the invention, the shaking devices can be constructed in various ways

Axis oscillates, the parts or halves lying on opposite sides of the axis being temporarily in a plane with the main part of the shaker and being temporarily lifted into an inclined position against this main part.
Finally, the arrangement can also be such that the movable part, instead of assuming an inclined position relative to the main part, is moved upward or lifted in such a way that its

is thrown back and because that part of the straw which is thrown upwards by the movable middle part of each box always falls at a considerable distance onto the next box.
Appropriate means are provided to prevent straw from falling through between the moving part and the adjacent parts of the main part.
In the accompanying drawings illustrating the invention are Figs. 2 or a vertical longitudinal section and a plan view of an embodiment selected, for example, of such a shaking device constructed in accordance with the invention. In each shaker box, a longitudinally extending intermediate part a of the working surface is attached to a frame b (briefly called movable frame "in the description") which is rotatably attached at b * to the main frame c of the shaker box and is located under the main part d extending the working surface of the shaking box, forms a lever, the end of which is fastened by means of a hinge e to a fixed pin j which is arranged in such a way that
that during the up and down movement of the shaking box, the movable part a of the working surface lies in one plane with the main part d when the latter is in its lowest position, while this when going up

two shaking boxes are shown, one of which is in the raised position with inclined moving parts a, while the other occupies its lower position, in which the surface of the moving part a is in one plane with that of the main part d.
In the embodiment shown, four shaking boxes are arranged side by side, each of which is provided with an intermediate part movable with respect to the main part concerned; however, the number of shaker boxes can be different.
The working surfaces of the shakers are constructed from cross bars in a known manner. The shaking boxes are mounted on cranks g, g, the rotation of which rotates them themselves in such a way that the straw on them is moved forward.
The moving part of the working surface can be provided with upwardly projecting pins h, which are intended to serve to grip the straw. The frame b is provided on its sides and at its upper end with downwardly projecting parts bl, which in combination with suitable devices, for example with metal strips or plates i attached to the main part of the shaker box, prevent straw between the main frame c and the movable one Frame b fail.
Fig. 3 is a vertical longitudinal section of an individual part of a modified embodiment in which the journal b * is located between the ends of the movable part a, the parts of the working surface lying on the opposite sides of this journal or this axis being inclined downwards towards one another as the drawing shows. The movable part a is adjusted about the axis or the pin b * in the manner described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. The frame b has parts bl at both ends to prevent the straw from falling through.
The invention is not limited to the described embodiments and the individual devices which are used to refer to the movable part of the shaker
