and the cone thus acts like a wire mesh screen and prevents the flame from flashing back by offering resistance to the flame. As soon as the burner has become hot, the cone opens and assumes approximately the shape shown in FIG. The resistance of the cone is greatly reduced or approximately equal to zero. The air can therefore move downwards unhindered. flow, whereby the influence of the hot pipe is balanced. The burner can be equipped with the usual gas valves 6 and the air slide 7 (Fig. 4), which are set depending on the local conditions.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, a baffle plate 8 is arranged on a thermostatic arm 9 which is fastened by means of a sleeve 10 in the burner. As long as the burner is cold, the plate assumes the position shown, which prevents the flame from flashing back. As soon as the burner becomes hot after lighting, the plate rests against the pipe wall and therefore offers no resistance.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the thormostatic arm 11 fastened by means of a sleeve adjusts the movable part 13 of the air slide 14. The device is such that the slide is partially closed when the burner is cold and opens when the burner warms up.
The advantages of the invention consist essentially in that the flashback of the flame when lighting is prevented, but at the same time the correct amount of air is let in during normal operation. In particular in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, which is considered to be the most advantageous, the device is just as simple as the usual wire gauze sieve and has the advantage over the latter that it does not cause any carbon deposits on the mantle and is poured out during normal operations.
PATENT CLAIMS: l. Blue burner with thermostatic mixed air control for incandescent gas light, particularly invert gas incandescent light, characterized in that the expansion body forming or actuating the automatic control device is arranged inside the mixing tube between the air inlet and the actual burner.
