Flow protection combined with a flue gas collector for devices and systems with gas firing
The invention relates to a flow safety device combined with an exhaust gas collector for devices and systems with gas firing, with a hood that is slipped directly over the heat exchanger with a horizontally directed nozzle for connection to an exhaust pipe, with a duct and dam device connected to the nozzle The top of the open cylinder with a horizontal axis is installed in the hood, so that a channel is formed that preferably extends over the entire depth of the hood.
Gas fireplaces, the exhaust gases of which are discharged by natural buoyancy, must be equipped with flow safeguards in accordance with the technical regulations to protect against draft disturbances in the chimney due to excessive upflow, backflow or backflow.
EMI1.1
Such a cross section of the exhaust pipe is fed to a flow protection device. This can be assembled with the heater or connected downstream of it. With vertical and horizontal exhaust gas ducts, such flow safeguards require an increase in the structural dimensions and also impair the pleasing appearance of the devices. In the case of vertical exhaust gas routing, polygonal hollow bodies are usually installed as guide bodies in the flow control. Double-walled structures and flat trough-shaped partitions are known as guide devices for horizontal exhaust gas routing.
It has now been found that a particularly simple and effective flow safeguard is obtained if, according to the invention, an approximately circular, vertically standing baffle plate is inserted into the channel at a distance from the exhaust gas nozzle.
According to an advantageous further development of the invention, a section is removed from the lower side of the baffle plate seated in the channel, so that an opening is formed between the baffle disk and the bottom of the channel.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. 1 shows an exhaust gas collector with a flow safety device and horizontal exhaust gas duct, and FIG. 2 shows the embodiment from FIG. 1 in connection with a device with gas firing in the normal operating state (upflow).
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an exhaust manifold-1 - with flow safety device - 2 - and horizontally directed exhaust pipe-3-, which results in a particularly low overall height.
The flow safety device-2-- consists of a baffle plate in the form of a cylinder with a horizontal axis, which is connected to the connection piece-3 and is open at the top, so that a cylinder extending over the entire depth of the hood of the exhaust manifold --1-- Channel --6-- is formed.
In this channel, at a distance from the nozzle -3-, an approximately circular, vertically standing baffle -7- is inserted, from which a section is removed on the lower side, so that between the baffle and the bottom of the channel -6 - An opening8- is formed.

-7- into the channel -6- entrance-8-sucked into the chimney.
Depending on the draft in the chimney, a more or less large amount of air (full lines) is added automatically, which can flow through the relief cross-section. In the event of a return flow, the channel - 6-- and the baffle plate -7-- prevent the downward wind from blowing onto the outlet openings of the heat exchanger of the gas appliance-4-.
The relief cross-section --5-- allows the exhaust gases, which may be mixed with air, to flow out unhindered, both in the case of reverse flow and in the event of a traffic jam, so that perfect flow conditions are established in all operating conditions.
