   Die erfindungsgemäss erhältlichen neuen Verbindungen sind wertvolle Zwischenprodukte in der Arzneimittelsynthese. 



   Das folgende Beispiel erläutert die Erfindung, ohne dass diese dadurch eingeschränkt wird. 



   Beispiel :   5, 6g2-Methyl-4 (5)-nitro-imidazolwerden   mit 5, 9 g wasserfreiem Aluminiumchlorid in 150 ml Isopropyl- äther solange gerührt, bis sich ein dunkles, homogenes Öl abscheidet. Das Lösungsmittel wird entfernt, zurück bleibt die gewünschte Verbindung. 



   PATENTANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von neuen   2-Alkyl-4 (5)-nitro-imidazol-Additionsverbindungen der   allgemeinen Formel :

   Example: 5, 6g2-methyl-4 (5) -nitro-imidazole are stirred with 5.9 g of anhydrous aluminum chloride in 150 ml of isopropyl ether until a dark, homogeneous oil separates out. The solvent is removed, leaving the desired compound.
