Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Waren
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Shipping tray made of plastic for eggs, fruits or the like. Goods
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The invention realizes the accommodation of 360 pieces of eggs, whereas egg trays with a square or rectangular tray cross-section only allow 240 eggs to be accommodated in the existing standardized boxes.
It can also be seen that in the present example there are four rows of insertion trays 2 in one direction and five rows in the other direction, but this is not mandatory. According to a practically executed example, 5 rows each with
6 wells arranged. If the shipping trays are connected with their base plates 1 facing each other in pairs (Fig. 4) and these pairs are stacked on top of each other but with a rotation of 900, the rows of troughs of one pair come to lie between the rows of the other, for example, upper or lower pair in such a way that the edges of the square base plate are on top of each other. A stack of pairs of shipping trays arranged in this way can easily be inserted into a box.
In this box, the base 6 and the lid 7 (FIG. 5) can also be provided with insertion troughs into which eggs are inserted before the stack is inserted. From the drawings it can also be seen that the space enclosed by such a box is practically completely used.
Perforations 8 (FIG. 6) or weakening grooves can be made along the rows of insertion trays. These allow easy separation of individual parts that still remain closed all around. Channel-like depressions 9 can be provided between the individual insertion depressions, in order to ensure ventilation that is found to be necessary. When two tablet parts 1 are placed on top of one another, closed connecting channels are formed between the insertion depressions.
Furthermore, it appears expedient to increase the insensitivity of the packaging to impacts by providing a curvature 10 extending into the interior of the indentations in the end surface of the truncated pyramid 5. These bulges form for the inlaid
Eggs have a resilient cushion (Fig. 4), which is of particular importance when stacking multiple trays.
Finally, it has proven to be advantageous to arrange a row of holes 11 on each of the edges of the base plates in order to enable the shipping trays to be removed from the ones that tightly surround them
To facilitate boxes.
