Turbo machine
The invention relates to a flow machine for two separate streams in one and the same impeller with a hollow hub and hollow blades, around which one stream flows essentially axially and the other stream flows through essentially radially, the outer casing of the wheel, which the Connects blades in such a way that it is only broken through by the mouths of the blade cavities, and which separates the two flows from one another is designed as a ring.
The known machines of this type had the disadvantage that the ratio of the delivery head or
The height of fall of the axial part could only be changed slightly to the delivery height of the radial part. In addition, flow losses occurred in the known machines.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned and to create a fluid flow machine of the type mentioned at the outset which enables the delivery head ratio to be varied significantly. According to the invention, this is achieved above all in that the ring in the area of the impeller channels has a radially extending extension which runs between two walls of a housing part that are generally inclined towards one another and that connects the axial housing with the spiral housing or the housing of another downstream diffuser of the radial part of the turbomachine connects.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically in the drawings. 1 shows a front view and FIG. 2 shows a partially sectioned side view of a turbomachine according to the invention.
In this embodiment of a combined fan, the air first enters together through the intake funnel 1 and then divides into the flow through the axial part, which is indicated by the arrows 2, and into the flow through the radial part, which is indicated by arrow 3. The essentially axial flow 2 flows on the outside around the blades 4 of the impeller, the other flow component 3 enters the annular cavity 5 of the hub and is then deflected in the essentially radial direction of the blade cavities 6. The channels formed by the blade cavities 6 are continued outward via the end of the blades 4 and via the wheel rim 7 into the extension piece 7a, where they are denoted by 6a in FIG. 2 and thus end a little way outside the outer surface of the tubular axial housing 8.
Accordingly, the housing 9 of the radial part (in the present case a spiral housing) does not sit directly on the housing tube 8, but is connected to the same by an intermediate piece 10, which consists of two annular disks inclined towards one another. Therefore, the wheel rim 7 is not sealed against the radial housing as in the already known combined flow machines, but its seal 7b - z. B. Labyrinth seal - acts against the axial housing 8.
