   Um auch ein hochkantiges Stapeln der Munitionskästen auf ihren Schmalseiten zu ermöglichen, sind an denSeiten des Kastenkörpers Flachstege 8 angebracht, die dem Kastenkörper eine rechteckige Stapelform verleihen. Diese Flachstege stützen sich an den Schrägen der Seitenwände ab und enden kurz unterhalb der Stirnränder 7 des Kastenkörpers, so dass sie an den Schmalseiten einen Aufsatzrand 9 für die Verschlussdeckel bilden, der längs der Breitseite des Kastenkörpers von einer Randwulst 10 gebildet wird. Die Hohlräume zwischen den Flachstegen 8 und den Schrägen 3 der Seitenwände werden durch mitgespritzte randseitige Verkleidungswände 11 luftdicht abgeschlossen, wobei jedoch ein zu einem Traggriff 12 verjüngter Mittelsteg freigelassen wird.

   In Ausschnitten 13 der Flachstege sind die Hebelverschlussteile 14 für die Verschlussdeckel 2 eingelagert, so dass sie sich bündig in die Rechteckform des Kastenkörpers einfügen. 



   Die breitseitig aufgespritzten Verstärkungsrippen 15 lassen eine Beschriftung oder sonstige Kennzeichnung der   Munitionskästen   zu, ohne dass eine Beschädigung beim Stapeln und Absetzen der Kästen zu   befürchten steht. Stirnseitig können die Verschlussdeckel noch mit einem Halteband   16 ausgerüstet sein.
