Extrusion press for the production of pipes and. Like. Made of plastic material.
The present invention relates to such extrusions for the manufacture of pipes and the like. Like. Made of plastic material, the molded parts for the purpose of exposing the sleeve
EMI1.1
Part correspond to the head of the pipe to be produced, while the middle part of the molded parts is kept smooth in accordance with the cylindrical part of the pipe. The mandrel is arranged to be displaceable, cylindrical in its upper part and designed to coincide with the base of the tube in its lower part. If the material is pressed through the mold, the base of the pipe is created first; then, after the lower part of the mandrel, which is carried along by the pipe string, sinks, the cylindrical part of the mandrel with the cylindrical part of the mold comes into effect and the smooth part of the pipe is formed.
When the mandrel is finally raised to the level of the uppermost part of the mold, the head of the pipe is produced. In this case, however, the head of the pipe is not kept clean and it has to be subsequently processed in order to free it from the adhering material parts. If the head of the tube liberties does not have a simple shape, if undercuts are present, then the finished head is usually damaged when the fittings are pushed apart.
Both disadvantages are now to be avoided by the present invention in order to be able to manufacture pipes or the like with the greatest accuracy even with heads of complex shape. For this purpose, the molded parts have a fluff on the upper edge

is obtained. To produce undercuts, a ring is provided, which is held in position by the joined molded parts, remains in the undercut of the pipe when the mold is opened, in order to be removed later. The ring can also be held on the frame of the machine through slots in the molded parts, so that when pushed apart, the molded parts slide along the holder for the ring and are safely guided, while the ring itself supports the molded tube.
In the drawing isi, an example embodiment of the press is shown.
1 is a longitudinal section through a pipe to be produced, for example, with the present press; Fig. 2 illustrates the shape of the press with the mandrel in the position in which the parts are at the start of the operation; FIG. 3 shows the device for pushing the molded parts apart in a view and FIG. 4 shows the press in longitudinal section, the parts of the press that are not absolutely necessary and known for understanding are missing; Fig. 5 illustrates another embodiment of the die and

After completion of the downward movement of the table 17, the tube is completely formed and only the head is missing. To produce the same, steam is passed into the steam cylinder below the piston 23 so that the piston rises and the press

lifts the mandrel 18 and brings it into the upper position shown in dotted lines in FIGS. 2 and 4. The nnn formed annular space between the mandrel 18 and the upper part a of the mold and plate 24 encloses the head of the tube.
The clear width of the opening of the plate 24 corresponds exactly to the mandrel cross-sections of the dome, so that in the raised position it completely closes off the upper opening, whereby the head of the pipe is kept completely clean and subsequent machining of the pipe end is completely eliminated.
The form abc consists of two parts which collide in a vertical plane and which can be pushed apart in the radial direction along the plate 24 connected to the cylinder, the parts being guided by guides 2 arranged on the plate 24 during their longitudinal displacement. The shift of the
