Portable cooking devices for camping and travel, especially those with more than one built-in burner, usually consist of a box-shaped rigid or hinged stand device. To protect the burners, these stand devices usually also have a hinged cover made of sheet metal.
For reasons of availability, burners are preferably used for gaseous equipment, the fuel gas being supplied throughout by connection to an additionally separately carried supply source.
This effort is in conflict with the desired high mobility of such facilities, since the necessary accessories must also be carried. The required space is therefore not insignificant, but the cookware u. a. also be taken into account.
Document DE 3701907 A1, for example, proposes a special type of problem solution.
The object of the present invention is to reduce existing disadvantages or the effort sometimes required, taking into account the simplest possible concept, in order to make a cooking appliance of the type mentioned expedient, easy to use, safe to use and as inexpensive as possible.
According to the protection requirements, this is done by forming a portable kitchen unit consisting of at least two parts - a housing part and an inner part. Together, these modules result in a dimensionally stable, compact and transportable unit, in the separate or lined-up state of the above-mentioned kitchen unit.
The burner (s) is (are) permanently installed in a cage-shaped housing that is open on one side. Due to the requirement of an autonomous operation, burners with directly docked cartridges are used. In the case of liquid gas cartridges, burner bases are ideal for cartridges with a valve. This is for security reasons, as this card

can be replaced in a simple manner, if necessary also during cooking.
The use of directly docked cartridges alone guarantees that burners plus their supply source, rigidly mounted with the housing part, result in an immediately operational unit.
To ensure versatility, there is also the option of using slightly modified burner designs with additional external connection options. This modification means certain advantages in the case of longer stationary operation and then corresponds to the operating mode of conventional systems which has been customary up to now.
Another variant of supplying the burners would be that a single docked cartridge via branch lines

adapted and is advantageously carried out as a molded part. This results in the storage space for general accessories, such as parts of the cookware and cutlery, etc.
The Fiq. 1 shows a technical design of this compact design of a mobile kitchen unit. 2, 3 and 4, the main components of the same in the separated state.
In the housing cage (l) there are two gas burners (3) with a regulating valve (2), with the possibility of docking for standard "cartridges with valve".
In the molded part (4) of the insert module (5) there are cutouts (9) for these cartridges. The device is therefore

The burners are also inked using a special safety valve with 3-way function. Can be supplied via a hose as an external connection (6), which creates the dual operating mode.
The remaining space in the insert part (5) is used for accessories such. B. cookware used. The total size of the operating unit depends on the type of individual parts to be accommodated.

On the top of the housing (l) a grill (7) is arranged above the burners. This can be detached from its anchoring (10) and, as a turning grid, enlarge the work surface of the kitchen unit or be used for other purposes away from the immediate hearth.
The outer shell of the housing (1) and plug-in module (5) consists of decorative perforated sheet metal and is protected against corrosion. In contrast to the conventional full-shell construction of conventional free-standing devices, this means a substantial weight saving, while the stability of the construction is not impaired.
The casing and the grill grate protecting the burners provide the desired stability for transport, so that only dust or moisture protection, in the form of a cloth-like casing, is sufficient.
Transport handling is ensured by at least one handle (8) on the housing part (1).
