Device for adjusting the guide vanes of flow machines, in particular of water turbines or pumps
To jointly adjust the guide vanes of turbomachines, it is known to use a control ring which is concentric to the machine axis and is essentially designed as a flat, planar ring, which is connected to the guide vane trunnions via links, levers or the like and which is operated by servo motors. The forces exerted by the servomotors and transmitted by the control arms act in the middle of the control ring. There are also known constructions in which the same distribution of forces occurs and in which the servomotors designed as ring servomotors are located in recesses in the shape of a ring in the regulating ring.
It is also known to design at least part of the control ring itself as the cylinders or pistons of the ring actuating motors. In order to achieve the required dimensional rigidity, the control rings are usually designed with a box-shaped or similar cross-section and with large wall thicknesses, so that heavy, complicated and therefore expensive castings welded constructions result.
To avoid this disadvantage, it has also been proposed to manufacture such a control ring from ring segments which are formed over their entire length from commercially available, essentially closed hollow profile bodies. Although this significantly simplifies production and saves a certain amount of material, this proposal cannot be entirely satisfactory either, since a certain wall thickness must not be fallen below in order to achieve sufficient dimensional rigidity of the control ring, the control ring due to its hollow profile cross-section being closed over the entire circumference but it is still relatively costly and therefore expensive.
The invention aims to further simplify and reduce the cost of such a control ring with a ring servomotor drive, and in particular to create a guide vane adjustment device in which the control ring meets the high demands placed on it in terms of dimensional stability with the least possible material expenditure. This is achieved if, according to the proposal of the invention, the servomotors in a manner known per se as ring actuators with one part (piston or cylinder) attached to the control ring and the other part (cylinder or piston) attached to a stationary base, for example on the machine cover ) and are arranged in a number of ring-shaped recesses of the flat, planar control ring corresponding to the number of servomotors.
The combination of these measures known per se results in a surprisingly advantageous construction with the lowest possible cost of material, which is particularly characterized by a substantial reduction in price compared to the known adjustment devices. Another very important advantage of the adjusting device according to the invention lies in the extremely space-saving design of the same, which, among other things, allows the control ring to be arranged relatively close above the stationary base, so that the entire adjusting device, i.e. H. The control ring and the variable displacement motors come to lie under the turbine cover and the usual step over the variable displacement motors is not required to walk on the inner part of the turbine.
In addition, this space-saving design makes it possible to achieve a short overall length for the guide vane pivot pins connected to the control ring via control arms, levers or the like. All parts of the adjustment device are easily accessible and easy to dismantle.
In an expedient further embodiment of the invention, it is proposed to move the control ring in the area of the recesses towards the machine axis, in a manner known per se. widened in order to largely eliminate the weakening of the control ring cross-section caused by the recesses for the ring servomotors.

at the same time. To simplify the production and, if necessary, also for reasons of transport, use can also be made of the measure known per se of assembling the control ring from two halves or also from several segments. It is advantageous to define the dimensions of the individual segments in such a way that their end-face boundary surfaces lying in the circumferential direction, as known per se, lie in common planes with those of the annular piece-shaped recesses.
This makes it possible, on the one hand, to process the surfaces provided for fastening one part of the ring servo motors before assembling the control ring and thus easier and better; on the other hand, the recesses of the control ring used to accommodate the ring servo motors do not need to be machined from the full material, but can be formed by joining together appropriately prepared ring parts, which further saves material and simplifies production.
The invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment and will be explained in more detail with reference to this.
1 and la each show one half of a control ring with built-in ring actuating motors in plan view, namely FIG. 1 that of an integral control ring and FIG. La that of a control ring composed of segments. FIG. 2 shows, on a somewhat larger scale, a detail from FIG. 1 in a section along line a-a, FIG. 3 shows a section along line b-b of: FIG. 1 and FIG. 4 shows a variant of FIG.
According to FIGS. 1-3, the one-piece (FIG. 1) or the ring segments 5 and the ring parts connected to one another via the flanges 8 and 8a are connected to the guide vanes 2 connected to the guide vanes 2 to be adjusted 6 and 7 composed, designed as a flat, planar ring l ring-shaped recesses 9 on.
In the recesses 9, the frontal boundary surfaces 10 of which lie in the same axial plane with the butt joints 11 in the segment design according to FIG 14 attached to the stationary base 15. To compensate for the recess 9 for the ring
EMI2.1
Ring servo motors 12 and the link 3 are designed so that their centers of gravity lie in a common plane, so that the ring servo motor and the link forces act in the central plane 16 of the regulating ring 1.
To limit the to-and-fro adjusting movement of the control ring, stops 17 are provided on the ring servomotor cylinders 14, also in the plane of the forces acting on the control ring.
To achieve a low overall height of the adjusting device, recesses 18 are provided in the stationary base 15 according to FIG. 4, into which the ring actuating motors 12 protrude with part of their cross section. The shape and the length of these recesses 18 correspond approximately to those of the ring-shaped recesses 9 in the control ring 1.
