Verfahren zum Behandeln von Stahl beim Giessen.
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezweckt die Eigenschaften von Flussstahl beim Giessen dadurch zu verbessern, dass alle Blasen und poröse Stellen daraus entfernt werden, ohne die Dehnbarkeit des Metalles zu verringern.
Hei Ausführung des vorliegenden Verfahrens wird in den Giess löffel vor dem Einfüllen des geschmolzenen Stahles ein inniges Gemisch von fein gepulvertem Kelp (Asche von Tangen), Brucbglas und Tonerde oder Ton gebracht; daneben können aber natürlich auch andere bekannte Zuschläge zu Flussstahl, wie Ferromangan, reines Aluminium usf. in den Giesslöffel eingeführt werden.

Stahl innig durchgerührt wird und sich dann besonders zum Giessen kleiner Gegenstände in Koquilleln eignet. So kann man mit Hilfe dieses Verfahrens Hufeisen aus weichem Flussstahl in Koquinen giessen, die keines nachfolgenden Anlassens bedürfen.
