<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

A driven attachment allowing a wobbling movement
Bodies of revolution on their shafts
If gearwheels or the like are fixedly mounted on shafts in which deflections of the shaft and thus inclinations of the gearwheel - even if only to a small extent - must be expected
Make sure that the gears and their mating gears always mesh correctly.
To solve the problem: To connect rotating bodies with their shafts by means of a fastening that allows a low-quality wobbling movement, cardan joints provided between the rotating body and shaft or laterally movable bolts in grooves with conical body design of hub or shaft parts, furthermore multi-groove couplings, toothed couplings or the like. be used, which allow a certain mutual mobility of the two interconnected parts. Such devices are generally very expensive and often can hardly be accommodated in narrowly defined hubs, especially since these connecting parts provided must be appropriately rounded to ensure their mobility, and this is particularly true when large forces are to be transmitted.
According to the invention, the object is achieved with the help of known shear elements, which are switched between a hub of the rotating body and the associated shaft or a bushing attached to this as spherical, so-called barrel rollers, each in semicircular recesses of the hub and shaft or bushing are stored in a center circle provided for the roller bearing, the rollers, due to their spherical shape, allowing the shaft to wobble relative to the rotating body or vice versa.
The connection between hub and shaft made in this way looks similar to a roller bearing from the outside, but the spherical rollers always remain at rest with respect to the hub and shaft and are only subjected to shear and pressure by the hubs or shaft parts that hold them in approximately semi-circular recesses.
Even if not all rollers are in contact with the recesses, the torques can be transmitted with certainty from the body to the shaft and vice versa, since the rollers are able to absorb very large shear forces with a corresponding width. Laterally arranged rim rings or the like known per se can prevent the rollers or cylinders from sliding out of their cylindrical recesses formed by the hub and bushing.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in section according to FIG. 1 and in a side view according to FIG. 2, the associated parts as a bushing and hub being drawn in section in the area of a roller.
A gearwheel 3 is fastened on a shaft 1, which is mounted in the bearing 2. As a result of high loads, it must be expected that the shaft 1 will sag and adjust at an angle, so that when the gear wheel 3 is normally fastened on the shaft 1, for example by tongue or groove or multi-groove connections, edge pressures on the teeth during power transmission between wheel 3 and a pinion 4 are to be feared and thus rapid wear or the possible breaking of their teeth can occur.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
These dangers are prevented according to the invention in that the hub 3a of the gear 3 is supported on spherical so-called barrel rollers 5, which in turn are supported on the bush 6 on the shaft 1, but the spherical rollers 5 do not rotate in the manner of roller bearing rollers, rather, as can be seen from FIG. 2, the hub 3a and the bush 6 are approximately enclosed on all sides, so that only a narrow space remains on the center circle 7 on which the rollers 5 are arranged. Hub 3a, rollers 5 and bushing 6 and shaft 1 are connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner.
Only the gear 3 can perform a wobbling movement with respect to the shaft 1 or the shaft 1 can perform a wobbling movement with respect to the gear 3 held in its position.
In order to ensure reliable tooth engagement, for example, lateral rollers 9 are arranged in the gear housing, through which the correct assignment of gear 3 and pinion 4 is ensured.
Instead of the semi-cylindrical recesses of the bushing 6, the rollers 5 can also be inserted into appropriately milled semi-cylindrical recesses in the shaft 1, so that the new type of fastening can also be carried out for gearwheels with a small diameter or for pinion shafts.
Lateral flange disks 10, which can be attached to the hub 3a or to the bush 6, prevent the rollers 5 from sliding out of the cylindrical recesses provided.
The novel embodiment according to the invention is applicable not only to the gearwheels described, but also generally for the attachment of rotatable rotating bodies, e.g. B. also of rotors for pumps, compressors, turbines and. Like., of machining tools and of flywheels.
In some cases it will be sufficient if normal balls are used as shear elements instead of the spherical rollers.
