Thermoelectrically controlled semi-automatic safety valve for two or more lighting points
The invention relates to a thermoelectrically controlled, semi-automatic safety valve for two or more burners, each burning position being assigned a thermocouple and each thermocouple being assigned an electromagnet, these electromagnets being arranged in a row adjacent to one another in such a way that when all electromagnets are excited they form a column hold together, which keeps the closing element of the valve open against the effect of a directional force, whereas if there is no excitation for at least one of the electromagnets, the column is separated so that the valve is closed by the released part of the column, according to patent no .
According to the invention, a particularly useful and simple embodiment of the subject matter of the parent patent is seen in the fact that the - outer - electromagnet of the column that is furthest away from the valve is fastened to a holder encompassing the electromagnets, in which a guide made of non-magnetic material protruding axially into the electromagnets is attached.
The drawing shows a schematic sectional illustration of an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, in which the ignition safety valve is combined with the main gas valve to form a structural unit, in the rest position.
In the drawing, 1 denotes a valve housing with a gas inlet port 2, a gas outlet port 3 to which the gas line leading to the pilot burners (not shown) of the individual burners is connected, and another gas outlet port 3a to which the main burners (also not shown) of the individual burners leading gas line is connected. It also means 4 a gas inlet space which is separated from a gas outlet space 5 by a wall 6. In this wall 6 a passage 7 is provided, from which a channel leads to the gas outlet connector 3.
Valve plates 11 and 50 are assigned to passage 7 on both sides, of which one valve plate 50 located in gas outlet space 5 is slidably mounted on a plunger 10 that is under the action of a return spring 8 and can be operated by hand via a push button 9. This valve disk is loaded by a spring which is supported against the valve housing 1 and directed towards the closure of the valve passage 7. The return spring 8 is stronger than the spring 51, however, so that the valve disk 50 is lifted off the passage 7 in the rest position by the collar 52 present at the end of the tappet 10.
The other valve disk 11 located in the gas inlet chamber 4 and the valve spindle 12 rigidly connected to it are under the action of a spring 13, which is supported in the valve housing 1 and directed towards the closure of the valve passage 7. The gas inlet chamber 4 and the gas outlet chamber 5 are connected to the valve spindle 12 or the plunger 10 penetrated points are sealed to the outside by a ring 14 each. The valve disk 50 is also sealed off from the tappet 10 with such a ring 14.
On the protruding from the valve housing 1 end of the spindle 12 sits, rigidly connected to her, a. Disc which represents the armature 15 of an electromagnet 16 facing the valve housing 1.
About this electromagnet 16 are axially aligned further electromagnets 17, 18, of which ier the valve furthest away. - Outer - electromagnet 18 is attached to a bracket 20 that encompasses all of the electromagnets and is designed as a protective housing, which
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
valve housing 1 is rigidly connected. All electromagnets are preferably designed as pot magnets. A guide rod 60 made of non-magnetic material and projecting axially into all electromagnets is fastened in the holder 20. All electromagnets 16, 17 with the exception of the outer electromagnet 18 are slidably mounted on this guide rod 60.
Leads to the electromagnets 16, 17, 18, which are passed through the holder 20 in an insulated manner, are denoted by 25. The bottom of all pot magnets 16, 17, 18 is reinforced and, in the case of the electromagnets 16 or 17, also serves as an anchor for the next following outer electromagnet 17 or 18. The pot magnet 18 is screwed to the guide 20 at its reinforced base.
The electromagnets 16, 17 are - in contrast to the representation in the drawing, in which they are drawn for the sake of increased clarity with the interposition of a gap one above the other - due to their own weight close to one another and all rest on the armature 15. In this position has and the valve disk 11 rigidly connected to the valve spindle 12 keeps the valve passage 7 closed, still supported by the spring 13. In the rest position of the valve, the gas inlet space 4 is thus completely closed and the gas cannot access the main and pilot burners.
Each individual electromagnet 16, 17, 18 is electrically connected via the lines 25 and via the ground lines 26 to a thermocouple, not shown, which is assigned to the pilot burner of each burner; The thermal current of each thermocouple excites the respective electromagnet when the pilot flame is burning. The spring 13 directed towards closing the valve passage 7 is dimensioned in such a way that it cannot close the valve passage 7 as long as all electromagnets 16, 17, 18 are energized, in which state the electromagnets 16 and 17 together with the armature 15 on the the bracket 20 attached electromagnet 18 hang.
If one now wants to transfer the valve according to the invention from the rest position shown in the drawing to the ignition position, then the push button 9 and thus the plunger 10 are against the action of the spring
EMI2.1
and that the armature 15 raises the electromagnets 16, 17 lying on it so far that the initially existing air gap between the electromagnets 17 and 18 is closed and the electromagnets 16, 17, 18 thus form a closed column. By pressing the push button 9 and thus also the tappet 10, the valve disk 50 is released and closes the valve passage 7 from below under the action of the spring 51.
The gas flowing through the lifted valve disk 11 from the gas inlet chamber 4 into the valve passage 7 can therefore initially not enter the gas outlet chamber 5, but instead flows through the lateral channel leading to the gas outlet nozzle 3 to the pilot burners, where there is e.g. B. is ignited by hand. The thermocouples assigned to each pilot flame then generate thermal currents. which energize the associated electromagnets 16, 17, 18 via the lines 25 and 26. The electromagnets excited in this way now adhere to one another in the raised position and the column initially formed from the electromagnets only by pressing the push button 9 or the plunger 10 remains in place through the magnetic forces coming into effect. The push button 9 can then be released.
With the relief of the push button 9, the action of the return spring 8, which, as already mentioned, is stronger than the spring 51, entrains the valve disk 50 from the collar 52 of the retracting plunger 10 and lifts it against the action of the spring 51 from its seat. The gas can thus flow through the now open passage 7 into the gas outlet space 5 and from there is conducted via the gas outlet nozzle 3a to the main burners, where it is ignited by the pilot flames. The system and thus also the safety valve are then in the operating position.
If for whatever reason only one of the pilot lights goes out or if the thermal current of any of the thermocouples fails, then the associated electromagnet and / or the armature 15 with the valve spindle 12 connected to it immediately drops out. The valve disk 11, supported by the action of the spring 13, then immediately closes the valve passage 7. It is thus the further gas inflow to both; All main and all pilot burners are instantly interrupted; whereby all flames go out, all thermal currents fail and thus all electromagnets return to their rest position. The plant is restarted in the manner already described.
The embodiment shown in the drawing can be used for a maximum of three burners to be secured. If the number of burning points to be monitored increases, a corresponding number of movable electromagnets must be threaded onto the guide 60.
