men 61. 85 und 110 vorgesehen.

Transport device for a fully automatic system for photographic recording, development and copying of images
The invention relates to a transport device for a fully automatic system for producing photographic images.
Such systems are known and contain a recording device and devices for developing, fixing and drying the exposed film or paper strips. In order to produce perfect positive prints, it is advisable to first expose a negative, develop it and then make a copy or an enlargement of it.
Automatic enlarging devices for photographic purposes are also already known.
The main problem with such automatic systems is the creation of a reliably operating transport device for the films or photographic papers. It is known to use photographic negatives in frames for developing, soaking and fixing and to guide them through the corresponding baths with the aid of conveyor belts, the frames being dipped one after the other into the various treatment baths by suitable lifting and lowering devices.
The invention has set itself the task of creating a transport device which makes it possible to guide frames containing film or photo paper strips through the corresponding baths, to carry out the lifting and lowering movements with only a single device and to move the frame after emptying to automatically lead to a point from which they can be used again. At the same time it was the aim of the invention to avoid individually driven gripping and positioning members, the assembly of which is complicated and which are generally particularly prone to failure.
The transport system according to the invention is characterized in that at least one magazine is provided with inclined guide rails on which frames holding film or photo paper strips are slidably suspended, and in that there is also a dispenser that releases the frames one after the other from the magazine, at least one known per se , the frame-receiving pair of conveyor belts coming out of the magazine, which by means of a lifting and lowering device dips the frames into the various treatment baths one after the other at predetermined points and for predetermined times, and at least one transfer device that transfers the empty frames to a device for return transport after treatment the magazine transferred, are provided.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings. 1 shows a schematic side view of a transport device according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a partial view of the transport device and the magazines for the frames of the photographic paper strips, and FIG. 3 shows the front view of the device according to FIG.
In the following description and in the drawings, only the parts and processes necessary for a proper understanding of the structure and mode of operation of the transport device and the phototechnical devices that work with it are described or illustrated.
According to FIG. 1, a feeder 19 is driven step by step by a motor, not shown, which releases the frame 17 that has just been loaded. The frame slides along the rails 18 and falls onto a pair of endless conveyor belts 25 which are continuously rotated by a motor, not shown. The belts are guided by driver rollers 26 which are supported by a movable support 27

your position.
As a result, the released frame 17 slides smoothly onto the conveyor belts 25, is then lowered to the lowest support position and there is immersed in a basin 35 which contains the developer.
The conveyor belts now move on in the direction of arrow f. The support 27 is again raised by the eccentric mandrel 31 to such an extent that the frame 17 can cross the edge of the basin 35 and the sink 36. The lowering movement, the lifting movement and the feed movement are now repeated several times. After the developed film has been soaked, the film goes on to the basin 37 for fixing and finally to the basin 38 filled with water for rinsing.
A transfer device is located in the vicinity of the end of the conveyor belts 25 facing away from the distributor 19. which consists of two parallel arms 40. The arms are subject to the action of a spring which tries to keep them in the upper position shown in FIG. At the end of the conveyor belts 25, the frame 17 slides onto the aforementioned transfer arms 40, which, under the weight of the frame, lower in a clockwise direction to the lower position shown in dashed lines. There the frame slides on a pair of auxiliary conveyor belts 39 which are located below the basins 35-38. This from

ter.
During the pivoting movement of the transfer arms 40, the extended end 41 of one of the arms triggers the closing of a switch i, which is located in the supply circuit of a motor, not shown, for driving a device for removing the film strip from the frame.
The frame is then taken over by the auxiliary belts 39 and fed to two cylinder sector-like guides 44, in the area of which the reversal point of an endless conveyor chain 45 is also located. The chain is provided with hooks. one of which takes the frame with him and returns it to his magazine 18.
The frames for the photo paper strips are transported in the same way as those for the film strips and stored in magazines of the same structure. To create the opportunity. If desired, a single contact sheet or several copies of the same image or also enlargements can be produced, according to FIGS. 2 and 3, three different ones, for main copying, auxiliary copying and for

men 61, 85 and 110 provided.
If necessary, these frames are released by the distributors 63, 87 or 112 and pass via the vertical conveyor chain 88 provided with hooks 89 onto the horizontal pair of conveyor belts 66 for further conveyance to the developing and fixing devices. The empty frames are transported back into the magazines with the aid of the conveyor belt 67 and the three vertical conveyor chains 68, 91 and 116, which are nested in one another.
In order to achieve automatic sorting of the returned empty frames into the magazines assigned to them, the frames 61, 85 and 110 are equipped with hanging supports 92, 93 and 117, as shown in FIG. The projection g of the hanging supports 117 is larger than the projection of the conveyor chains 68 and 91 and also larger than the projection e and d of the hanging supports 92 and 93 of the frames 61 and 68.
The projection e, on the other hand, is greater than the projection of the conveyor chain 68 and the projection d of the suspension brackets 92. Each pair of conveyor chains leads to the associated magazine.
In this way it is achieved that the frames get back into the correct magazines due to the different dimensions of their hanging supports.
