Strahlheizrohr

Radiant heating tube
The invention relates to a radiant heating tube with deflection of the heating gases flowing therein at the closed end of the tube according to patent no. 226346. This patent indicates how the effect of a more even distribution of the Radiation power can be achieved over the pipe circumference. No information is given in this patent about the shape of the separating plates in the event that several such plates are arranged. According to the invention, these metal dividers are designed in such a way that they consist of flat, curved, angled or similarly shaped sheet metal strips, the longitudinal edges of which bear against the inner wall of the pipe.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows how three channels are formed by installing two flat separating surfaces. The heating gases enter the central channel at the open end, flow through it and give off part of their heat to the accessible parts of the inner pipe wall. After deflection at the closed end of the pipe, the gases enter the two side channels and now brush the remaining parts of the inner surface of the pipe.
Fig. 2 shows the same arrangement, but with curved partitions. The mode of action is the same.
3 and 4 each show an embodiment with three metal dividers. The way it works is the same as above.
InFig. 5 four separating plates form four side channels, while the remaining space forms the central channel.
As can be seen, the number of separating plates can be freely selected, as is their shape, although it should be noted that the more the number of separating plates increases the uniformity of the radiation, but also the difficulty of the construction.
