1. Street attachment made of a frame and a grate or lid that can be opened around two coaxial pins
The invention is concerned with a road attachment made of a frame and a grate or cover that can be opened around two coaxial pins. The grate or cover is usually opened around hinge pins, which are fastened in coaxially opposite holes in two frame sides and in
Holes protrude into the end faces of the grate or cover that are parallel to these frame sides. These hinge pins have already been replaced by a continuous axle.
In these known designs, the hinge pins are no longer accessible after an attachment has been installed in the street. This eliminates the possibility of removing the hinge pins and thus the unauthorized removal of the grate or cover from the frame. Disadvantages of the known attachment constructions are the expensive creation and processing of the hinge joints and bearing surfaces if they are to ensure a stable, noiseless position of the grate or cover in the frame when the attachment is driven over. In addition, damaged grids or lids must only be replaced with new ones if the frame is removed from the road surface.
However, there are also street attachments with a hinged grate or lid that allow a damaged grate or lid to be replaced without removing the frame, but such designs offer no security against unauthorized removal of the grate or lid from the frame.
According to the invention, a protection against unauthorized removal of the grate or cover from the frame and the possibility of subsequently inserting a new grate or cover as a replacement for a damaged one, without removing the frame from the road, is achieved in that at least one of the pins is axially movable is inserted into a bore with a depth of at least pin length of one part, the pin with an end face against an elastic pad, for. B. od from a spring, a rubber stopper. The like. Or the axis of the corresponding holes of both parts is inclined with respect to the horizontal in the direction of the less deep hole. so that it automatically engages in a corresponding hole with a depth less than the length of the pin.
The deeper hole is advantageously arranged in the grate or cover. The pin has a tendency to slide into the shallower hole after the grate or cover and frame are assembled. This can be favored during assembly by edging and / or shaking the road attachment. The pin is pushed back against the elastic cushion before the road attachment is assembled, so that the grate or cover can be inserted into the frame and the pin then automatically locks into the corresponding flat hole. It is also possible to insert both hinge pins axially movably into bores of one part and to allow them to engage in corresponding shallower bores of the other part.
The invention provides a safeguard against unauthorized removal of the grate or cover from the frame with simple means, and damaged grids or covers can still be replaced with new ones if the old one is smashed to remove it.
It is possible to make the hinge pins correspondingly strong and to act as a grate support on the coulter

to use kidney side. According to another proposal of the invention, however, it is provided that the grate or
To equip the cover on the hinge side with spherical or round support ends, which are profiled accordingly, e.g. B. in the side, open top, recesses of the frame, which are in the side walls of the
Frame lie, are inserted and to arrange the coaxial holes for the pins in the end faces of the support ends. On the opposite side of the grate, supports can be used on the frame
Execution, among other things also with coinciding inclined surfaces, and corresponding
Counter bearings are provided on the grate.
It is also possible to have a lock on the side of the frame opposite the hinge, e.g. B. tongue lock, sash lockod. Like. To be arranged in order to prevent unauthorized opening or to make it more difficult.
To explain the invention in more detail, an embodiment is shown in the drawing, u. 1 shows a plan view of a road top, FIG. 2 shows a cross section of the road top, FIG. 3 shows an enlarged section along the line III-III in FIG. 1 and FIG. 4 shows an enlarged section along the line IV-IV in FIG Fig. 1.
The street attachment consists in the usual way of a frame 1 and a grate 2 or the like. The upper size of the frame 1 is formed in the example by a cast iron rim 3, while the lower part can consist of concrete. The grate 2 is also made of cast iron. What is new in this embodiment is that the grate on the hinge side is provided with opposing support ends 5, which are inserted into recesses 6 of two parallel frame sides. The underside of the support ends and the bottom of the recesses are rounded or convex, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 3. In the end faces of the support ends, bores are provided which serve to receive the hinge pins 7 and have a depth which corresponds at least to the total length of a hinge pin.
Coaxial with these bores, holes are provided in the frame sides, the depth of which is less than the length of a pin. Furthermore, the bores are arranged in such a way that their axis slopes downwards in the direction of the surface bore. The hinge pins are inserted into the deeper holes in the grate before assembly so that the grate can be inserted into the frame. Due to the inclined arrangement of the bores, the pin then slides with the outer end into the flatter bores of the frame, so that it is no longer possible to remove the grate without destroying it. If the pegs do not automatically slide into the flat holes in the frame, this can be achieved before installing the road attachment in the road by edging or shaking the attachment.
According to a further proposal of the invention it is provided that an elastic pad is arranged in the deeper Boh tion. against which the pin is pushed back before the grate is inserted into the frame. This pad then ensures that the pin 7 slides into the shallower hole in the frame. According to the example according to FIG. 4, the elastic cushion can comprise a spring 8 arranged in a recess in the bore, a rubber stopper or the like.
The opposite grate supports are formed in the example by shoulder projections 9 in the inside of the frame.
