Verfahren zur Herstellung von insbesondere hohlen Formlingen
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Process for the production of, in particular, hollow moldings
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
According to the invention, such a mixture of a mineral aggregate and an asphalt bitumen is used for the production of moldings, which by adding a known powdery mixture of a high-melting bitumen and a filler in an unheated state to a temperature up to one point above the softening point ( Ring and ball) the temperature of the bitumen heated mineral aggregate and then mixing these components until the melted bitumen with the filler envelops the aggregate has been obtained.
According to a particular embodiment of the method according to the invention, a bitumen is used in the mixture which has a softening point (ring and ball) of at least 850.degree.
Embodiment:
An asphalt bitumen with a softening point of 110 C is ground with a filler in the ratio 3ff1 / 0 bitumen and 65% filler. A mineral aggregate consisting of falling rocks and
Sand, is brought to a temperature of around 2500C.
The ground, powdery mixture of bitumen and filler is added to the heated unit in an unheated state.
The heat that the mineral aggregate gives off to the mixture of bitumen and filler causes the bitumen to melt, creating a thin layer around the components of the aggregate
Forms skin from asphalt bitumen and filler. By moving the entire composition it is achieved that the entire mass of the aggregate is enveloped, which takes place in less than 1 min. Since the asphalt bitumen does not need to be melted before it is mixed with the aggregate, the difficulties that arise when the bitumen is heated to a given temperature are eliminated. Charring of the asphalt bitumen is avoided, as is the other disadvantage mentioned, namely the clogging of pipes and the like. Like., no longer occurs.
From the mixture obtained, in molds, by pounding or using pressure,
Moldings produced.
