Suspended vehicle seats, in particular for mobile work machines
The invention relates to a sprung vehicle seat, in particular for mobile work machines, e.g. B. tractor, with a rail arranged behind the seat backrest, which guides the seat during deflection.
In a relevant known embodiment, the guide consists of a round rod fastened vertically to the vehicle and two rollers with groove-shaped running surfaces which are attached to the seat backrest and which grasp the round rod between them. The seat rests on one or two rockers, in the joints of which torsion springs made of rubber or the like are installed, which take over the cushioning of the seat. A telescopic hydraulic vibration damper arranged next to the guide rod ensures that the vibrations fade away quickly. According to the entire structure, in this known embodiment, the spring force increases proportionally with the seat travel.
This forces a compromise when dimensioning the springs. If the suspension is designed for strong vehicle bumps, i.e. if it is chosen to be quite hard, it responds too little to weak bumps. If, on the other hand, it is dimensioned for weak impacts, excessive deflection results in the event of strong impacts or the seat even hits.
The invention is based on the object of creating a cushioning that does not deflect too much in the event of strong impacts, but also absorbs weak impacts well. For this purpose, an embodiment is proposed, the characteristic of which is that the seat back with the guide rail by elastic members, for. B. rubber rings, whose backrest-side attachment points are slightly lower than their attachment points on the guide rail when the seat is unloaded at the same height 9der. Designed in this way, the characteristic curve of the suspension changes with the seat travel, u. zw. in the sense that the tension of the elastic members increases more than proportionally to the seat travel. The suspension becomes harder when the seat is deflected strongly, but remains soft when the seat deflection is weak.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the invention, u. Between: FIG. 1 shows the side view of the seat and its cushioning, partly in section, and FIG. 2 shows the associated top view.
The seat 1 has a bearing 2 on its front edge. The front end of the rocker arm 3, which is arranged in the center of the seat and whose rear end is pivotably seated in the bearing 4 of the base plate 5, is hinged to this bearing 2. So that the rocker arm 3 safely guides the front seat edge, it is kept fairly wide. It expediently forms an elongated frame composed of rods or tubes.
On the base plate 5, behind the backrest 6 of the seat 1, the guide rail 7 is attached in a somewhat rearwardly inclined position. It has a U-profile. Your U-opening points to the front. The U-space is closed at the top by the stop 8. The rollers 9 run on the floor of the U-space (U-web), the axes 10 of which are seated in the tabs 11 attached to the backrest. On both sides of the guide rail 7 are the elastic members 12, which are used here as rubber rings, but springs or the like can also be used in their place.
The rubber rings 12 are placed on the one hand around the ends of the rod 13, which is transverse to the seat 1 and is mounted on the backrest 6 below the rollers 9; on the other hand, they are looped around the pin 14 of the bracket 15, which is loosely rotatably seated in its center on a traveling nut 17 rotatable by means of the handwheel 16. The traveling nut 17 is on the screw

bolt 18 arranged, which is attached to the guide rail 17, for. B. welded, and approximately in
Tensile direction of the elastic members 12 is. The latter pull the rollers 9 against the track of the guide rail 7. By means of the traveling nut 17, the elastic members 12 are pretensioned even when the seat is unloaded, on the one hand to ensure that the rollers 9 rattle-free and on the other hand to adapt the suspension to the weight of the seat occupant.
The seat-side engagement points 13 of the elastic members 12 are slightly lower than their engagement points 14 on the guide rail 7, so that the members 12 assume a forward and downward inclined position. The angle that they include with the horizontal should not be greater than 300. This type of suspension caters for the most practical needs.
Under certain circumstances it proves to be expedient to ensure that the seat vibrations are damped.
To this end, the invention provides for. B. a commercially available hydraulic damper 19, the lower end of which is hinged to the bolts 20 of the base plate 5 and the upper end to the axis 10 of the rollers 9.
The damping device can be conveniently accommodated in the U-space of the guide rail. Their use comes into question in particular when the elastic members consist of springs. In the case of rubber rings, which generally have a high degree of self-damping, it is usually unnecessary.
