Device for checking the angular position of edges or surfaces of objects

convex cylindrical surface which is symmetrical with respect to the normal plane 18 passing through the axis of rotation a of the stylus 8. The normal plane 18 belongs to the contact plane 17.
The device is used as follows: The test object whose angle is to be measured is placed on the
Stucco holder set. The piece holder is depending on the type of test item, e.g. B. thread cutting brackets, various milling cutters, knives or profile calibers. The piece holder shown in the drawing can be used to measure the angle of test objects provided with holes. It can e.g. B. when measuring the face angle of milling cutters with holes in the sliding body 4 can be fixed in such a position that the center line of the stylus comes to sit 0.5-2 mm behind the peripheral edge of the tool inward.
The cutting edge of the tool is then lightly pressed against the angle sensor 8, with which its tactile surface is adjusted in the direction of the end face and the pointer 10 on the scale 11 shows the value of the angle measured. The back angle is measured in the same way, with the difference that, for. B. in milling cutters with milled teeth, the probe 8 is applied to a point on the back of the tooth, close to the peripheral cutting edge, whereby the value of the primary back angle is obtained. With relief-turned or relief-ground milling cutters, measuring is easier because the tangent angle can be measured at any point on the back of the tooth.
If the test piece is clamped on a piece holder 3 with which the test piece is centered and which, on the other hand, is provided with an angle graduation so that the angular coordinates can be set, the device can also be used to measure polar curves (e.g. switching or switching curves) . Control discs) can be used. Such a measurement takes place in such a way that the feeler pin rotatable in the sliding body 4 is moved towards the casing to be measured and the piece to be measured is simultaneously set to the desired angular coordinate. The size of the radius vector can then be read from the scale on the sliding figure 2 and the size of the tangent angle from the angle scale 11.
Instead of the angular scale which can be moved along with the stylus 8, a scale can also be produced in which the tangent values corresponding to the angular values are entered. In this case, the device immediately displays the differential quotient of the curve at every point on the curve.
